I am literally crying right now... I'm a transplant Texan that .....since I'm in Florida nowadays.....really looks forward to my traditional Texican foods. And I guess my first impulse was like everyone else's- that the can I just bought was somehow bad. But I guess my days of relying on Old El Paso are over for now, so so sorry to say.

Serve over a foundation of refried beans for a hearty meal that goes further. Other store brands have a distinct aftertaste. Old El Paso beans are the best!

We make chalupas with fried corn tortillas and spread the refried beans on top, cover with seasoned meat, shredded cheese, lettuce and chopped tomatoes. Served with sour cream and hot sauce. Yum! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Old El Paso Refried beans are my first go to when I am needing to purchase refried beans for Mexican dinner night. They have a wonderful flavor and great texture and consistency. They always have a good mixture of chuck bean pieces to the creamy well blended beans, they also have just the right amount of oil mixed in to keep them moist.

So I bought a can of these with a expiration date of January 2024, and they are NOT GOOD!! Right when I opened the can I got a whiff of sour/rotten eggs!! I don’t know what is going on with these beans but surly there is a recall on them because nobody should be eating this!!! Please take these off the shelves!!!
