I agree with most of the other reviews on the refried beans "new recipe". It's basically tasteless paste, and I'm shocked that your development and testing teams determined that it was a better substitute for your old recipe. I won't be buying the "new recipe" again.

I have recommended these refried beans to everyone in my family and close friends of mine we all love Taco Tuesday night and you can't have it without Old El Paso's refried beans

I have bought a few different brands of refried beans in the store and old Elpaso brand comes the closest to authentic refried beans. Good job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good flavor. Can be used as a side dish, topping or just for dipping chips. Recommend stirring it in a bowl and heating in the microwave after you get it out of the can to soften it and make it look more appetizing.

Gross! I opened up a can of these today on 6/9/21 and as they were heating up I thought omg they’re ruined, they smell awful! I went and checked the date on the can and it was 2022. They smell like they are spoiled. I tasted them and almost gagged! I thought well maybe it’s me…i had my son taste them and he said they smelled bad and tasted like wet paper. Will never buy these again. We use them for tostadas and have for years but we’ll have to find a different brand. Consistency is different too.

Have been buying Old El Paso refried beans for decades. Opened the can this morning and noticed they were runny. More like a wary paste than refined beans. Taste seemed off. By reading other reviews I see that you will share my feedback with the team. Great! While you do that, I'll try some other brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family enjoyed the Old El Paso traditional refried beans. The flavor was great with our taco dinner. The consistency was good and it was easy to prepare. I would purchase again when I need a quick alternative to making homemade.

I hadn't bought these in quite a while, got a 6 pack at our local big box store, opened a can last night, the beans poured out like soup. Heated them up in the microwave, tasted them and then dumped them in the trash. Absolutely awful! Won't be purchasing again, and will be returning product for a refund! Used to be a good product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to use Old El Paso refried beans when making beef, bean, and rice enchiladas. It works perfectly to spread on the tortillas before filling them and rolling / folding them up. One can is enough to make 2 batches of enchiladas- one to bake now and one to freeze for later. Yummy!
