These used to be great and clearly, several months back, the recipe changed. I can't imagine how your taste testers came to a conclusion the new version is good. They are devoid of taste, like none whatsoever. You have me buying generic brands that aren't very good, but unfortunately, now they're better than yours. Return to the old recipe and let us all know when you do. Thanks

I am writing this after trying a can of the new recipe refried beans! I’m so glad I tried them before putting them on my tacos. I licked the spoon and was repulsed. These have always been my favorite brand of beans. I thought it had to be my taste buds so I had my husband try them and he was just as disgusted. Do not waste your money!! Please get your old recipe back Old El Paso!!

What the heck?! I've been buying Old El Paso Refried Beans for forever. I went to the grocery store yesterday and bought two cans. Both were runny when I opened them. The taste was adequate but not like before. Hard to make beef/bean burritos when the refried beans are like soup. I see by other reviews this has been going on for a long time. Guess I'll buy another brand unless you can up your game and bring back the refried beans like they were before. As info, my cans were marked with 230 and expiration date of 21 Jan 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband loves Refried Beans. Old El Paso is his favorite. I make bran burritos, I make Bean dip, and sometimes we put just a little on tacos. This Old El Paso Refried Beans taste like something you would get in a Mexican restaurant.

We used to eat these frequently when we were first married. Absolutely loved them. Then something happened....I have given them three more tries and each time they lacked any flavor! I tried adding spices and it still doesn't fix the problem. They are inedible! I don't know why you would have changed something that was so good and made it taste horrible!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These beans are my favorite for when we do Mexican night. They taste great on their own and my family likes to use them in quesadillas. The pop tab top makes it easy to open and heat. It's also very good in a 7-layer dip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love to use Old El Paso refried beans when making beef, bean, and rice enchiladas. It works perfectly to spread on the tortillas before filling them and rolling / folding them up. One can is enough to make 2 batches of enchiladas- one to bake now and one to freeze for later. Yummy!
