I have to add cumin to regain what I feel has been lost. Overall Old El Paso, is still the best quality, taste and brand for refried beans.

I opened the can and thought they had gone bad due to the awful smell! The expiration date not until 2023, so why do they smell & taste bad? I went to Google and researched this question. New recipe! I guess I'm not the only one who won't be buying this product anymore unless it goes back to previous recipe. If that happens some national commercial would help to inform us. I'll still buy the seasoning packets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say, these are good beans. They have a great consistency, unlike some of the other brands. The other brands tend to be dried out but thus brand is great. They are more expensive than store brand, but worth the price.

I was using these beans for a layer dip and took one bite of them and had to spit it out and I threw away the rest of the entire dish which is worth about &30 of rotelle Velveeta Ground beef pico to Gallo and all my time it was disgusting what is wrong with these beans they taste almost like something that’s gone bad

I have been buying Old El Paso traditional Refried Beans for 40 years , recently purchased a can for our Taco Tuesday meal . The can of beans had no taste , it was bland and runny. After reading other reviews it seems your new recipe is a flop. I will be looking for a new Brand.

We have been buying the traditional refried beans for years and now the flavor is AWFUL what did you guys do. We couldnt even eat them tonight that's how bad the flavor was. Not to mention they looked horrible too. We checked the expiration date and we still had 2 years so I cant blame that.

Just as all the below reviews the beans are watered down! No taste can not believe you would change a good recipe for this new recipe. Do not waste your money on these refried beans unless you want mush and watered down tasteless beans! Waste of money.
