I got what I paid for, I believe, since they were available and affordable, but would choose a different brand going forward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the Old El Paso brand. It's our favorite for tacos. The refried beans spread really well when making soft shell taco's We spread the beans on the soft shell and then add Spanish rice then put a hard shell taco in the soft shell. We then fill up the hard shell taco with taco meat, cheese, lettuce, taco sauce. It's the best way to eat a taco. You get the best of both kinds of taco in one bite.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love Old El Paso products. To us it is the best tasting refried beans in the market. It was the first product I ate after weight loss surgery. We have Mexican food in our home at lease once a week, Old El Paso refried beans are always in that menu. We even have them on our menu with many other items during the week. There is nothing we dislike about it., it’s perfect!!

Quite runny even if you mix it back up after it separates. Terrible taste, I have no idea if it's a weird additive or a strange process, but either way it's got a decently strong plastic or chemical taste for some reason? Little to no taste of refried beans at all, it just *looks* the part, except too runny. Far more likely to make you sick than satisfy you, the first words out of my mouth when I tasted this is "that's foul". This was so inferior to the generics I've had that it's hard to put into words. I had two large cans that were both opened up shortly after purchase and they were both this way. Will be avoiding Old El Paso whenever possible now because in my mind if you manage to put out a product *that* bad, then how much could you really care about your other stuff?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these often to up the flavor, texture, and nutrition of our meals. Of course they add a wonderful element to tex mex meals...but they also make a great thickener for soups and chili's. It also gives a richness of flavor.

I bought the refried beans a while ago and tried them and did not like them they were not the same as I had remembered but I thought maybe it was just a bad batch. Today I bought more to try and they are not good at all they are bland have no taste and the texture is mush. I’m very disappointed because I was really looking forward to having them with my Mexican dinner tonight. Please revert back to the old recipe it was so much better. Going in the garbage .

Sadly, I find them borderline terrible at this point. From 2010 to 2020 I was happy to spend extra vs other on-sale products like Rosarita because yours were straight-up better. They They now ABSOLUTELY do NOT taste anywhere near as good as they used to. The cans I bought a couple weeks ago seemed to be even MORE disappointing than they'd become in the last year or so, like there was a New and Even MORE Un-Improved version you silently released. It's depressing to me because I LOVED your beans, and now they are just totally weird-tasting and SO inferior to how they used to be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I personally love refined beans. When you cook them out of the can they turn a little darker. I just add a extra little seasoning to it to what I like. I love putting them on my tacos I know that sounds crazy but I do.
