[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Old El Paso Traditional Refried Beans is a favorite of mine. Every can is a perfect solution for a delicious lunch or snack. The bean consistency is thick but not too thick and the beans are evenly mashed. I use my for nachos, 7-layer dip, or inside a tortilla. Delicious every time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These refried beans are great. I use them all the time in my taco dip. I mix 1 can with 1 pkg cream cheese and spread in the bottom of casserole dish. Add a layer of your favorite salsa and a little chopped cilantro. Next add a layer of taco meat and top with a Mexican cheese blend and bake 30 minutes at 350*. Server with tortilla chips, lettuce, tomatoes, black olives or whatever toppings you like.

I usually heat them up throw a little seasoning to my liking stir in some queso fresco and once cooked top it off with some More queso fresco. Heat up some corn tortillas spread the refried beans and add my meats veggies etc etc and we have the perfect taco

This is the last can i will buy until the recipe consistency is changed i have been eating these since i was a toddler i i i I am now 39 yrs old. They are watery/soupy cant use for burritos or nachos or bean dip Awful. This brand was a family staple at our table. Its sad we will have to change after all these years

Loved the texture, taste, not much oil was in the can. Other brand, I would have to strain the oil out before heating them up. I will definitely be purchasing this Brand from now on!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would definitely recommend this product. They are the best canned refried beans I’ve had. They add so much flavor to my taco night. They’re similar to the authentic Mexican style beans I’ve had at my friends house.

My family used to buy this for years when I was younger and I continued to as I had my own family. I would even eat just a can of it for dinner it used to be THAT GOOD !! But I hadn’t had it in while and so I bought it again, I believe right when they changed the recipe because It tasted terrible and nothing like it usually does, I tried to look it up online and see if the recipe had changed as it seemed odd for it to taste so bad. It wasn’t until I tried again a month later it said new recipe on the can and still that nasty taste that I realized why it was different. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD RECIPE !!! I, and so many others, will buy MULTIPLE cans!!! I’m not sure what “consumers” you all had taste it that didn’t like the original flavor but there’s no way you had regular customers tell you it was not a good flavor. They probably only like plain beans with no flavor which they should get a different brand if GOOD flavor was a problem to them. I’m so disappointed I have to get Walmart’s great value brand because it tastes better than the new recipe.

Quite runny even if you mix it back up after it separates. Terrible taste, I have no idea if it's a weird additive or a strange process, but either way it's got a decently strong plastic or chemical taste for some reason? Little to no taste of refried beans at all, it just *looks* the part, except too runny. Far more likely to make you sick than satisfy you, the first words out of my mouth when I tasted this is "that's foul". This was so inferior to the generics I've had that it's hard to put into words. I had two large cans that were both opened up shortly after purchase and they were both this way. Will be avoiding Old El Paso whenever possible now because in my mind if you manage to put out a product *that* bad, then how much could you really care about your other stuff?

I have served Old El Paso refried beans for years. Today I served Old El Paso's Traditional Refried beans with the words "NEW Recipe!" on the can. My family wanted to know what I had done to them to make them taste so bad. I had done nothing other than what I typically do...heat up the can. This "NEW recipe!" is not good. It's absolutely flavorless and very disappointing. Please go back to the old recipe.
