[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these refried beans! I always buy them when it’s time for burritos. Sometimes I will even mix burrito seasoning, hamburger, cheese, and these beans and just eat them off of plate, no tortillas needed!

Opened a can tonight and they looked fine...when they started heating I thought I got a 'whiff' of bleach. Tasted them and they taste like bleach/sanitizer. Overwhelming the beans even! Date is 26 March 2023. Thanks to the pandemic I have 3 more cans from this lot that I won't be trying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These beans are my favorite for when we do Mexican night. They taste great on their own and my family likes to use them in quesadillas. The pop tab top makes it easy to open and heat. It's also very good in a 7-layer dip.

The taste has completely changed to where they have an unusual salty flavor taste that takes over and I have had to change brands. I thought maybe I just got 1 bad can but I visited my sister in a different state and she had them for dinner one night and they still tasted horrible. What happened?? :(

Just opened a can of beans that was very watery. They gave a scent of chemicals and had a bad taste of chemicals that linger as well. Will not be buying this brand again. Concerned on what is giving this chemical awful taste. Hopefully nothing harmful!.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our go to pick for quick bean dip and or traditional frijoles refritos con queso. It never fails and tastes great right out of the can prepared as a skillet meal on top of stove or prepped and zapped in the microwave!

I’ve been buying Old El Paso products for YEARS! Tonight, I opened a can of the traditional refried beans and they were TERRIBLE!!!! They weren’t runny like I’ve read in some recent reviews, they just tasted AWFUL!!! Threw them in the trash because my entire family refused to eat them. If this is a result of a recipe change, they need to consider changing back to the original recipe before they lose all of their brand loyal customers!!! I’m out!

They're refried beans are real true beings that have been refried, just exactly what they are! You can tell that their actual beans with the texture of smooth yet chunky and delicious.
