I was so looking forward to Taco night, thinking about it all day. One of my favorite ingredients is the tried and true Old El Paso Refried beans in the can. As soon as I spread it on the tortilla I thought I noticed something different about the texture, but didn't think much of it. After all, I was starving. Taking the first bite, I was shocked! I am so not a picky eater, but this took me by surprise. Immediately asked...."Did we use a different brand of beans? because these are disgusting!". I promise I'm not lying when I say this is the first time I've taken the time to wright a review of any sort. There is no way anyone can convince me that someone had the idea to change the recipe after tasting this. I get it, things happen, supply, yada yada yada.....but really? If it makes any difference, I will be double for a can of the old recipe if and when available. Until then, we will be tasting other brands! I trust lesson learned, however, please don't change anything else without having others taste first. Kind regards, Jason

I haven't bought these in a while. Never had a problem. The used to be thick. I bought two cans a few days ago. Opened one and was surprised at how liquid they were. Opened up the 2nd can and the same thing. I can't use them for my layer dip recipe. They used to be pretty solid. Very disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product because I make my own Taco Bell pinto beans and cheese at home I use 10 Taco Bell sauce microwave it put cheese and sour cream in yummy and healthy in a way it is not as greasy as the cheaper brands

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best refried beans I have eaten and I have tried many , easy to prepare , you can choose to just heat them up and serve or add some cheese and salsa and heat in over , add a spoon full of sour cream and enjoy.

I don’t ever write reviews…..but these used to be my absolute favorite refried beans, and now I can’t even eat them!!!! The texture is different, and the taste- well, there really isn’t much of a taste any more!!!!!! I’ve started venturing out to find another brand to buy cause these are so horrible!

They were a hit with most of our guests. The consistency is great, and added another layer to tacos we don’t usually have. I would recommend these if you need them quickly in a pinch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently had a 21st birthday party for my son in law. We used these refried beans and everyone thought we had the food catered. The beans cook easily and taste fantastic. Everyone loved them and I would recommend this product to everyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These beans are delicious & easy. We like to place them into a small casserole dish, add salsa & cheese, even some diced onion, and bake them at 350 degrees until they are bubbly. Our favorite is a double deck taco. A soft shell, smeared with these beans, add a Stand & Stuff shell and all the goodies. Fold it up, and you can have the crunchy corn, and soft flour taco, all in one. (Bonus: It doesn't fall apart!)
