[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We often invite friends over for Taco Tuesdays, Thursdays, or just about any day! I love Old El Paso Refried Beans. I have found them to be the best quality and well worth a few extra cents a can from the generic brands.

I’ve eaten these beans since I was a kid! I thought it was me. The new recipe is disgusting. Now I have to find a new bean that me and my family like. So sad, it was amazing and you had to change. It leaves a bad aftertaste and taste rotten. I thought maybe we got a bad batch. Now I am seeing more and more reviews people are changing beans. I will be one of those people. Please let me know if you go back to the regular formula, I’ll try them again.

So I bought a can of these with a expiration date of January 2024, and they are NOT GOOD!! Right when I opened the can I got a whiff of sour/rotten eggs!! I don’t know what is going on with these beans but surly there is a recall on them because nobody should be eating this!!! Please take these off the shelves!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Old ElPaso refried beans are a good item to have in your pantry for weekly meal planning. It can be used for last minute quick appetizers and dips. It is easy to use and store. I would buy this item again.

I opened the can and thought they had gone bad due to the awful smell! The expiration date not until 2023, so why do they smell & taste bad? I went to Google and researched this question. New recipe! I guess I'm not the only one who won't be buying this product anymore unless it goes back to previous recipe. If that happens some national commercial would help to inform us. I'll still buy the seasoning packets.

Ive never been so turned off by a product that I used to like as Ive been by these beans. I used to eat them regularly and have been so grossed out by the new recipe versions that Im literally on here doing a review and I dont do that. Please go back to the old recipe or fix the current one. Its inedible.

In the last month I have tried these refried beans in two different recipes. The smell is like dish soap in it and the taste is like they are extremely bad. These were bought at different times. Tonight we got the same results. I almost cried. Dinner ruined again. I noticed the numbers are the same as someone else that posted. Something is wrong.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our go too for taco night. Just open and re great and they are done. I've tried the low fat version and it's disgusting so I wouldn't recommend it. It does have a bit of oil on top but I just drain it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our go to pick for quick bean dip and or traditional frijoles refritos con queso. It never fails and tastes great right out of the can prepared as a skillet meal on top of stove or prepped and zapped in the microwave!
