Honestly this change ruined the beans for us. We don't like it anymore. The smell right out of the can is cheap. The taste and texture are horrible. Were you trying to save some money on the production? The only way this could have worked was if everyone lost their taste buds to Covid.

We have Tacos every Tuesday and I make the refried beans and yellow rice to accompany our chicken tacos. I also add a giant pile of cheese to the top of the beans. Sooo good

I have served Old El Paso refried beans for years. Today I served Old El Paso's Traditional Refried beans with the words "NEW Recipe!" on the can. My family wanted to know what I had done to them to make them taste so bad. I had done nothing other than what I typically do...heat up the can. This "NEW recipe!" is not good. It's absolutely flavorless and very disappointing. Please go back to the old recipe.

I’ve been buying Old El Paso products for YEARS! Tonight, I opened a can of the traditional refried beans and they were TERRIBLE!!!! They weren’t runny like I’ve read in some recent reviews, they just tasted AWFUL!!! Threw them in the trash because my entire family refused to eat them. If this is a result of a recipe change, they need to consider changing back to the original recipe before they lose all of their brand loyal customers!!! I’m out!

Had a family reunion yesterday, I was in charge of the 3-layer dip. Luckily I tried it first even though too late since already at the reunion. Checked all the layers, it was definitely the beans that tasted metallic and soapy so hastily threw the whole thing away. I was so embarrassed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] El Paso is my go-to for refried beans. They are consistently thick and taste amazing. We love to eat them covered in taco flavored cheese and onions and sour cream. They also are great as an addition to burritos and tacos.

I've always bought Old El Paso beans, but I just can't do it anymore. This new formula is disgusting. I find it hard to believe that they we getting customers desiring gritty beans with no flavor, but apparently they were l and changed the recipe. Please go back to the original beans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would definitely recommend this product. They are the best canned refried beans I’ve had. They add so much flavor to my taco night. They’re similar to the authentic Mexican style beans I’ve had at my friends house.

I love refried beans and have had Old El Paso's canned refried beans many times, both traditional and vegetarian, and liked them. However, the can I got at the store last week says 'New Recipe' and is absolutely terrible. It's just bland mush. They completely ruined our chicken burritos tonight. I will be looking for a new brand.
