The traditional refried beans were served with our taco dinner for 9 people and we were all put off by a weird metallic taste. A lot of food ended up in the garbage. Disappointed and disgusted. What happened to a brand that I’ve bought for years and will never buy again?

I've always bought Old El Paso beans, but I just can't do it anymore. This new formula is disgusting. I find it hard to believe that they we getting customers desiring gritty beans with no flavor, but apparently they were l and changed the recipe. Please go back to the original beans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Always and outstanding addition to our feasts! Perfect consistency and always tastes great! I like to heat it up in a serving dish and top it with a ton of shredded cheddar and bake. Serve with sour cream, chives, and some chips to dip!

I hadn't bought these in quite a while, got a 6 pack at our local big box store, opened a can last night, the beans poured out like soup. Heated them up in the microwave, tasted them and then dumped them in the trash. Absolutely awful! Won't be purchasing again, and will be returning product for a refund! Used to be a good product!

My family and I have eaten Old El Paso traditional refried beans for years!! Lately every can I buy has been disgusting!! Ruins the flavor of whatever we are eating. It tastes like some kind of chemical or something. Definitely doesn't taste like something that's ok to eat. Whatever they did to change the recipe, they need to change it back!!

I just found out about the new recipe from the reviews here and the taste is not bad but it is like soup. It is way too watery to put in a taco or anything like that. Unfortunately I won't be buying these again unless the recipe is changed again. If the consistency was in between the old recipe and this new one that would be fine.

Ive never been so turned off by a product that I used to like as Ive been by these beans. I used to eat them regularly and have been so grossed out by the new recipe versions that Im literally on here doing a review and I dont do that. Please go back to the old recipe or fix the current one. Its inedible.
