[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Actually Old El Paso is the best refried beans I've bought and I've tried various brands. I like the consistency and the flavor. And the price is not much different than anywhere else so economical also. I would recommend it all day long.

Their "New Recipe" is nothing more than "Now with more water!" As other reviewers have stated, the changes they've made to this product have resulted in driving customers away. My biggest regret is that we bought a 6-pack at our local warehouse store. We'll be donating these to the food bank as I can't imagine ever wanting to open another can in our house. Enjoy the couple of pennies you saved as your sales dwindle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The consistency is good, I just like to add my fajita seasoning to it to add more flavor. On its own is a little bland to me but with the seasoning it’s good. I’ve made refried beans from scratch but this product is so much easier for a quick dinner.

What happened to retried beans? For two consecutive nights I opened cans of runny beans. Not suitable for the bean and cheese nachos I was looking forward to. I have bought OEP products for years and must say I am very disappointed. I guess I will have to change brands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I thought I would try this because of the convenience, I think that I could make a similar product at home having a little more control of the ingredients and quality that I might like better. The consistency I think is what I had a difficult time with but that is my own personal hang up. The flavors are all there.

I was in the military so I’ve had some pretty horrible food and rarely complain about food. But If it came down to eating these beans or not eating anything at all, I’d rather not eat. Everyone in the recipe and product testing department needs to be fired. These are beyond horrible. Strong foul chemical taste.

In the last month I have tried these refried beans in two different recipes. The smell is like dish soap in it and the taste is like they are extremely bad. These were bought at different times. Tonight we got the same results. I almost cried. Dinner ruined again. I noticed the numbers are the same as someone else that posted. Something is wrong.

I have bought a few different brands of refried beans in the store and old Elpaso brand comes the closest to authentic refried beans. Good job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best refried beans I have eaten and I have tried many , easy to prepare , you can choose to just heat them up and serve or add some cheese and salsa and heat in over , add a spoon full of sour cream and enjoy.

So I bought a can of these with a expiration date of January 2024, and they are NOT GOOD!! Right when I opened the can I got a whiff of sour/rotten eggs!! I don’t know what is going on with these beans but surly there is a recall on them because nobody should be eating this!!! Please take these off the shelves!!!
