[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The beans are good. We cook a lot of Mexican food and we have always used this product for the past ten years or so. I add spices to make it Spivey.I would and have recommended this product to friends and family.

I must agree with the numerous complaints about the new recipe. Beans are runny and have no taste except for that of the can. I'll switch to a new brand which is sad since I've used Old El Paso for as long as I can remember. Based off reviews here and other sites it appears you are having a "New Coke" fiasco occurring.

I have been buying Old El Paso traditional Refried Beans for 40 years , recently purchased a can for our Taco Tuesday meal . The can of beans had no taste , it was bland and runny. After reading other reviews it seems your new recipe is a flop. I will be looking for a new Brand.

We love to add them to burritos, layer dips, and taco salads, but they are also delicious when added to cheesy eggs and salsa wrapped in a tortilla! Another favorite recipe is to add them to your cheeseburger with some green chilis and pepper-jack cheese.

These refritos are just too soupy and don't resemble the picture on the label.. I almost tossed them out as soon as opened, but thought heating might make a difference. They don't taste bad, but I could do without the additional seasonings. So much for refried beans with my green chile tonight.

We make about 30 burritos at a time and freeze them. They make a quick meal if you add chips, salsa and salad. They are a quick snack too. The Old El Paso beans are smooth, creamy and easy to use. They add the perfect touch!
