This device should never have left the prototype arena. The Cooktop, and i use the term loosely, is NOT easy to clean. The food tends to stick and burn very easily. I tried cooking on a low temp and the recommended temp. Both cases yeilded food that was inedible.

This is wonderful! Just like grilling outside without all the smoke! The house didn't smell of burn or anything either and the fan is not quiet but not loud like the stove top fan. Grilled steak and veggies on it and it cooked nicely! I was worried about buying at first bc of someone saying it did smoke but upon purchasing and following instructions in set up, you must fill the water tray with 2 cups of water so I wonder if that's the reason (bc this step was skipped) for the reviewers negative review of the grill smoking? Lol.

The only thing this does is dry out your food. My parents bought it thinking it would be a great addition to their kitchen. They were sadly mistaken. They tried cooking flank steaks, and they dried out so much. My parents have a great hand in cooking, so it's not like if they don't know how to cook. It was worthless and taken straight back for a refund. So if you don't want to have such a disappointment, my suggestion is to not buy this grill.

Perfect indoor grill for the home. There is a fan that makes this grill smoke-less and great for apartment grilling. The grill gets up to temperature pretty quickly and can go up to 450 degrees, which makes an amazing sear on your food. Locking in the juices and flavor, the sear and the beautiful grill marks can fool even the seasoned grill-master. The grill top also can help with healthier cooking as the excess fat and grease will run off and catches on the bottom tray. Emptying and cleaning is a breeze. Almost all parts can be washed in a dishwasher except for the heating element. For the price, this is a great unit that will get many uses. *I am writing this review as part of a contest.

Easy to assemble and use right out of the box. The current temperature outside is -20 degrees and it was great to grill a couple of steaks indoors. After use clean up was a breeze. I was afraid of the fat/grease falling off of the two steaks I cooked and making a mess inside of the grill, but it fell perfectly into the drip pan provided and the steaks cooked perfectly!!! My wife likes grilled chicken to put on her take to work lunch salads so I know she will use it during the winter months!

Used for the first time today with chicken thighs and bell peppers and onions. They were incredible! The char on the chicken amd veggies just took this dish to a whole new level. And it was smokeless even with the fan off! The drippings going into the water pan makes all the difference. Put everything in the dishwasher after it all cooled and cleanup was a breeze. I can highly recommend this indoors grill!

I was scared by the bad reviews here but gave it a shot - we love it! Worked as described and came with 2 cookbooks which was a surprise . We We We made filet steaks tonight and they turned out perfect with beautiful sear lines . I have no idea what the haters are talking about . For people complaining about bone-in food not cooking well they didn't read the manual - it says bone- in food like chicken and ribs (and also sausage) need to be precooked first. As for the steak recipe that I think is supposed to mimic Outback Steakhouse - it was good but dial the black pepper way back .

The grill cooked the burgers great, but definitely not smoke free as commercial lead me to believe. Very disappointed and now annoyed that I need to go thru the trouble of cleaning and returning the grill. I'm returning the grill on account of the deception....

I just got this yesterday and absolutely love it. I have to think that those folks who think it is not smokeless did not put water in the tray that then captures the smoke. I watched the videos included on this site prior to using. Clean up is a breeze.

Just look at the 2nd image above and see that there are several pieces to this grill just to grill. Too much trouble to grill with that many pieces. Mine never grilled all that great. My Cook's Essential grill that I bought on clearance for $39 grills circles around this thing. And my grill also has a lid too. The smokeless hype is just that. It does smoke less, but my Cook's Essential smokes just about the same as this one does.
