The only thing this does is dry out your food. My parents bought it thinking it would be a great addition to their kitchen. They were sadly mistaken. They tried cooking flank steaks, and they dried out so much. My parents have a great hand in cooking, so it's not like if they don't know how to cook. It was worthless and taken straight back for a refund. So if you don't want to have such a disappointment, my suggestion is to not buy this grill.

I just got this yesterday and absolutely love it. I have to think that those folks who think it is not smokeless did not put water in the tray that then captures the smoke. I watched the videos included on this site prior to using. Clean up is a breeze.

Just look at the 2nd image above and see that there are several pieces to this grill just to grill. Too much trouble to grill with that many pieces. Mine never grilled all that great. My Cook's Essential grill that I bought on clearance for $39 grills circles around this thing. And my grill also has a lid too. The smokeless hype is just that. It does smoke less, but my Cook's Essential smokes just about the same as this one does.

I purchased several months ago and have now used twice. Chicken breasts are supposed to be grilled at 350 degrees for 5-6 minutes per side. I don't know how long it would have taken at 350, but after about 8 minutes I turned it up to 400 and then 450 to get the meat cooked. Took over 30 minutes even at 450 degrees.

The worst review here (one star rating) says that the Smokeless Grill is not smokeless. Apparently, that customer failed to read and/or follow the instructions. The smoke is trapped in a tray of water at the bottom of this grill. A fan gently blows the smoke over it, and the smoke disappears like magic. No smoke in the kitchen (or other room). Zero smoke. Properly prepped, there is no way that the grill will smoke. Great tool for grilling when the temperature outside is extremely low. It crisps the food, but does not reach a temperature to blacken it. The pictures of prepared food (in the advertisements) shows how dark the food can get. This is a nice grill for the money - the best I have found in many years for indoor grilling. Worth the outlay.

ok we have not used it yet... BUT it seems they listened to you all because there is a griddle in ours that we bought, so it will be exciting to see how it cooks up everything, which we will take it on a huge test run next weekend by cooking various things on it from pancakes, eggs, steaks, burgers, hot dogs etc and then I will update my review then, but I just wanted people to know our came with the griddle insert

Perfect indoor grill for the home. There is a fan that makes this grill smoke-less and great for apartment grilling. The grill gets up to temperature pretty quickly and can go up to 450 degrees, which makes an amazing sear on your food. Locking in the juices and flavor, the sear and the beautiful grill marks can fool even the seasoned grill-master. The grill top also can help with healthier cooking as the excess fat and grease will run off and catches on the bottom tray. Emptying and cleaning is a breeze. Almost all parts can be washed in a dishwasher except for the heating element. For the price, this is a great unit that will get many uses. *I am writing this review as part of a contest.

I wanted an indoor grill and checked out all brands. I wanted one made by Hamilton Beach. It was rated best by consumer report. Wife bought this instead. Has not lived up to all the TV hype. Took over 45 minutes to get 4 burgers cooked and they were rare at best. Grease tray is cheap plastic and not deep enough. Says to add 2 cups water, When I cooked 4 lean burgers that tray over flowed all over the bottom of unit. Now I only add 1 cup or less of water. Takes too long to heat up. Now I only use highest heat setting to cook with. Any lower setting and it takes way too long to grill anything. Also the heating element doesn't heat the whole top of grill. Anything along edges or the far end will not cook. It does have a nice heavy lid.

I purchased this grill over a month ago and it is the bomb! I cooked on it at least 3 times a week and it cooks to perfection. I made burgers for dinner one night and my son fell in love with them and the sausages that I cooked also. I was so surprised when I saw the griddle because I needed that for breakfast foods. I like the fact that it is easy to clean. I was able to get $20.00 off when they ran a special. I promise you it is worth the money!

This thing is great! I love BBQ and grilling but sometimes the weather is bad, sometimes I don't feel like standing outside and heating up the BBQ for a quick mid-week meal. Now I never have to miss that char-grilled taste again. It's so easy to use!! I can't believe how good this grill is. It comes with a griddle too, which is nice. The food cooks up nice. And because it has a lid you can even steam things. I'm getting another one for my Dad who is a die hard (outside) bbq guy because even he was impressed with the burgers I made on it.
