The door doesn’t seal very well so there’s a LOT of frost build up. Constantly having to knock it off the top of the frame or the seal gets worse. Has worked for over a year - in the garage in Texas. I don’t think I’d buy this brand again though. Next time I’m going the quality route rather than the cheap route. Guess it’s true that you get what you pay for.

Fridge seal around the door ripped along the bottom after a year so the door wouldn't close and it stayed closed cause I don't use it much. Came back from a trip and all my food was spoiled cause the door wouldn't stay shut. So the motor burned out... Not great quality!

Door leakage causes frost on food. Returned freezer. Bought a second freezer to find the same results. Returned the second one also. Yes I did try to adjust door on each freezer after finding my food frosted in the freezer. Also turned the settings up high to find same result.

Horrible thing never worked from the first minute it was plugged in. Waste of gas and time. Waited for the store to restock them. Purchased it. Was a huge pain getting in the vehicle and home, large pain getting up where we wanted it by myself around tight corners.... did everything the manual said prior to plugging in. Plugged it in. Waited 6 hours... never got cold. Thought, "Huh... maybe it just needs to be plugged in longer?" It made the right noises like it was running... after being plugged in all night long still never changed a single degree in temperature. Huge pain packing it all back up, waste of my packing tape, waste of time getting it back downstairs and into the vehicle. Waste of another evening bringing it back to the club and returning the horrid thing. Don't buy this freezer. Apparently Igloo doesn't know how to make stand-up freezers.

Bought, took it home, ensuring the unit stayed upright the entire time. Set up the unit, and allowed it to sit overnight to ensure the compressor oil had settled. Plugged it in, unit appeared to be running correctly, but would not cool. Checked settings, allowed it to run for 24 hours, it never cooled even 1 degree from ambient air temp. Unit is cheaply made, and with the other poor reviews, we knew it was a roll of the dice. Reboxed, and returned for refund. Recommend to stay away from this unit. Be advised this same unit is manufactured under several different brand names: Thomson, Igloo, Kenmore, and Frigidaire.

No complaints so far. We've only had it a couple of weeks. Wish it were black or stainless and a little bit larger, but it fits our space perfectly and it is easy to find things inside it unlike a chest freezer. It is also quiet and keeps food at the perfect temperature.

I love this freezer!

The freezer gasket (seal) has never worked properly since its too small resulting in the freezer not working properly. We've had to constantly defrost the freezer. The seal has completely fallen of at this point and we have been unable to find a replacement. Hardware stores do not carry this seal. Very disappointing purchase which almost feels disposable. We have had other Upright freezers last YEARS and we hoped this would the same quality. All 3 freezers bought by family members have the same issue.

The freezer didn’t immediately work when we initially plugged it in. After letting it sit, it worked great for 5 months. However, the freezer stopped working and we lost all our meat. There needs to be an indicator light on the outside to show the freezer is still working.
