We bought this smaller model to replace an old large upright freezer that wasn’t energy efficient. I wanted to move the freezer out of the garage and into the laundry room for convenience. So far so good! It holds more than I thought. We even have some of our grandkids breast milk stockpile and still plenty of room for all the other stuff. We needed to change the door swing and the process was very simple. I wasn’t sure how I felt initially about not having shelves on the door, but I think I like it. Having lots of shelves provides room to keep things organized.

I saw a few negative reviews but took a chance due to low price point. Perfect condition out of the box. Was cold enough to transfer contents of my small chest freezer in about 3 hours. I would recommend this product at this early ownership stage. Never buy a chest freezer.

Great extra freezer for in the kitchen, and possibly the garage as well. This fits perfect in an unused nook we had in our kitchen, and gives us extra freezer space for when I go meat crazy on sales. Once I had it set up I let it sit for a day before plugging it in to a dedicated circuit. After plugging it up, I waited three hours and when I checked it with an infrared thermometer, it was at -6 degrees F through out the freezer. It DOES get warm on the sides, but that's normal. The compressor on this little gem is so quiet (How quiet is it anyways?) that to make sure it is running, I have to put my hand on it. I haven't tried it in a garage but it says you can use it there. I'm happy with it where it is. Well worth the $299 plus tax that we spent for it. And it has self leveling feet and you can change which way it opens with just a Philips screwdriver.

I read all the (mostly) crappy reviews about the poor function of the freezer, so I was prepared for the worst and bought it anyway. We left it sitting upright for 24 hours like one buyer said in her review. Plugged it in and turned it on, so far so good. It does get hot on the side of the freezer, so I'll see how that goes and keep an eye on it. We wanted this so we can stop going to the store so much and freeze the necessities that we use all the time. So far I only have fruit, veggies and bread in the freezer to make sure it works good. I'll update if I have anything else to say. It is a cute little freezer and small enough where it doesn't take up too much space so it's perfect for what we need it for.

I've had this freezer a little over a month and it's perfect for overflow and some larger items. It is pretty small and I've had to break down some large packages from the big clubs to get things to fit. It freezes very fast I've noticed and so far it's perfect for what I needed. I am a single guy and I feel like this freezer would be too small to share.

Our freezer arrived at our door on the day Sam's said it would. I unboxed and inspected it. Perfect condition. I set it where we wanted it and levelled it up. Then I let it sit unplugged overnight to insure the compressor oil had settled completely. Plugged it in and it has worked quietly and perfectly for @ six weeks now. No frost buildup yet. I am pleased with my choice and purchase.

It never worked and Sam’s will not pick it up! They expect us (74 years old) to pick it up and bring it back to the store. They delivered it and washed their hands of the problem. The freezer never got below 46 degrees! My refrigerator cools better than that! I would give a 0 if possible. Stay away from this freezer.

It was not a good experience. I ordered three of these freezers as gifts for family. They were dented, the cooling agent was leaking out & I have had a terrible time talking to representatives to get them returned and refund my money. I have literally talked to people all over the world. some, I could understand, others not so well. They were finally picked up yesterday, 5/30/23. I'm wondering how long until my refunds are credited to my credit card. I was also told I would get an $80 gift card for Sam's. I don't know when that will happen either.

The first Igloo freezer I purchased quit working after 1 week and I lost a large amount of food. Igloo wouldn't cover the food because I didn't have the pictures etc. they wanted for proof. Sams was great about replacing it but the second freezer they sent out never would freeze. Am still trying to return it but the first freezer that was sent back through Fed Ex hasn't shown up as returned yet. Now I have a second freezer that doesn't work. I think I'll buy another brand.

Thomson Upright Freezer (6.5 cu. ft.) Model # TFRF690 was delivered on 12/6/23. Discovered that freezer lost power on 12/23/23 or earlier. Luckily I discovered this before I lost any perishables. I had not fully stocked the freezer at that point. I checked the outlet by plugging my clothes dryer into it. Clothes dryer worked in the same outlet. This was ordered online from Sam's Club. FedEx delivered but would not pick up because it in not "packaged" for shipment. Sam's Club is in the process of scheduling an alternate company who will pick up freezer as-is. I will let you know how that goes in case you are curious.
