Poor quality

Door leakage causes frost on food. Returned freezer. Bought a second freezer to find the same results. Returned the second one also. Yes I did try to adjust door on each freezer after finding my food frosted in the freezer. Also turned the settings up high to find same result.

NOT GARAGE RATED

BUYER BEWARE! Details say ambient temps below 90 degrees. Well most garages, especially in Arizona, are not below 90 during summer. That being said, bought ours in January 2021. I love the size, the shelves, that its upright...Perfect for what we needed. About a month ago it stopped working. Thankfully I caught it before everything was a total loss. We did have it in our garage so that's on us. However, it seems people are having it stop even if it's indoors. Not sure if I'm going to trash it or YouTube how to fix it. If I do, I'll update my post.

Freezer

Recently bought this freezer. Brought it home, unpacked it. Waited a few days before plugging it in to let everything settle. When I plugged it in a clear fluid drained out of the bottom. Didn't get cold. Unplugged it and waited a few days. Plugged it back in . I could hear the motor running , but didn't even get cold.

poor seals

The door doesn’t seal very well so there’s a LOT of frost build up. Constantly having to knock it off the top of the frame or the seal gets worse. Has worked for over a year - in the garage in Texas. I don’t think I’d buy this brand again though. Next time I’m going the quality route rather than the cheap route. Guess it’s true that you get what you pay for.

Hi Scott S, it sounds like your freezer door is out of adjustment. <br />To adjust the door loosen the top hinge and draw the door closer to the body of the freezer and tighten the screws again.<br />Adjust the legs of the unit so the front of the freezer is slightly higher than the back of the freezer so that gravity will help hold the door closed.

Don't get this. Bad company

I got this freezer 6 or 8 months ago and it stopped working. I tried to contact the company to either refund or fix the freezer but they gave me a hard time. I sent them over 26 pictures and they gave me alot of excuses. This is a bad company and freezer. Don't get this. It's not worth the money or headache. For months back and forth with the company they stopped answering me. If there's anything under a 1 star I would give it. Don't buy this product.

Do Not Purchase

I bought this about 1 and a half years ago. 6 months ago the freezer quit and a repairman found that a wire to the thermostat was loose. He tightened the connection, and this worked until last week. Again, I called a repairman and this time he found that the thermostat was defective. I contacted the company asking to purchase a thermostat and after about 10 days they wrote that they do not have parts for this freezer. This was a waste of money.

Avoid at all cost

I bought this due to a smaller living space. I thought it would be bigger on the inside. It was so much smaller than I expected. I was disappointed that the shelves are not movable to accommodate larger items. Mine began an excessive frost build up on the top freezer element after just 2 weeks. I did not go into it but about twice a week. Also condensation was on the top portion of the door on the inside door panel. I returned this as there is a 90 day return policy. The return was hassle free.

Bad Freezer

Freezer was given to me for a wedding present. Quit working in 9 months. Lost everything I had in freezer. Has a year warranty. Thompson Customer Service would not do anything to replace it or try to get it fixed. Would not recommend this product at all.

Stopped working after 5 months

The freezer didn’t immediately work when we initially plugged it in. After letting it sit, it worked great for 5 months. However, the freezer stopped working and we lost all our meat. There needs to be an indicator light on the outside to show the freezer is still working.
