Don't waste your money
I have owned 2 of these freezers. Both have poor seals around the door. Particularly at the top. Within 24 hours of defrosting there are icicles hanging on the front edge when you open it. I have to wipe down the top lip and door every night or it gets where it is nearly impossible to open

Here is a tutorial on how to reduce frost build up in your upright freezer:How to Reduce & Resolve Frost Buildup in Upright Freezers, Refrigerator and Freezer Compartments of Refrigerators.Frost occurs when moisture in ambient air touches the cold evaporator coils, metal shelves and interior sides of a freezer or refrigerator.Steps you can take to reduce frost build up:Move your hand around the outside of the freezer/refrigerator door. If you feel cold air, then the door is not sealing adequately. You can adjust the door by loosening the top hinge to reposition/adjust the freezer door to create a tight seal.Adjust the front levelling feet of your unit such that the front of the unit is slightly higher than the rear. Gravity will assist the door to close with a proper seal.TIP: Close the door on a dollar bill (or similar). The dollar bill should not easily pull out - there should be some resistance. Perform the “Dollar Bill Test” on the top, both sides, & bottom of your freezer door, and adjust accordingly.Do not over fill your freezer to prevent food items from shifting and preventing the freezer door from closing properly.Place only cool or cold food items in your refrigerator or freezer. Hot foods introduce humidity into the food storage compartment, which contributes to frost build up. Allow hot foods to cool before placing them in the refrigerator or freezer.Wrap foods tightly with plastic wrap. Butcher paper is not an adequate wrapping material. Glass container lids typically do not provide a proper seal.Dry the exterior of food before storing. By the time you reach home after purchasing frozen foods, the food items may have defrosted a bit and moisture may have already developed on packaging. Reduce the amount of time the door remains open. Labelling and organizing your foods so you can easily identify them will help shorten the number and duration of freezer trips. Set the freezer temperature so the freezers interior compartment stays around 0F (-18C), as higher and lower temperature settings contribute to frost build up.Door Seal Care:Keep the door seal clean. You can clean your door seal with a solution of one tsp of baking soda to a quart of lukewarm water. Pour the solution onto a clean sponge, and wipe it over the seal. Sponge off the solution with clear water and dry the seal with a clean cloth before closing the freezer door.Keep the door seal flexible by lubricating it with some petroleum jelly (e.g. Vaseline). Wipe it on and wipe it off with a clean dry cloth.

Damaged on delivery
We opened it upon receipt. There was a large dent in the back of the freezer. The box was not damaged. So it was obviously packed and shipped this way. Very disappointed. It works well, just disappointed that you would ship a damaged item to a customer.
Don't waste your money and time
I bought Thomson upright freezer on Nov 8th online. It was delivered about about 2 weeks later. IT NEVER WORKED. The exterior of the freezer was colder than interior when it was plugged. My saga began when I tried to return this item. I was told that, since it was purchased `online, so it can cannot be returned in the store. The return label sent to me was blank. I have calling customer service about 4 times and I was kept on hold for more than 1 hr. I am tired. All I need is my refund!

Avoid at all cost
I bought this due to a smaller living space. I thought it would be bigger on the inside. It was so much smaller than I expected. I was disappointed that the shelves are not movable to accommodate larger items. Mine began an excessive frost build up on the top freezer element after just 2 weeks. I did not go into it but about twice a week. Also condensation was on the top portion of the door on the inside door panel. I returned this as there is a 90 day return policy. The return was hassle free.

freezer failure
I purchased the upright freezer 6.5 for $299.99 and the (3) year additional warranty for $35.00 , charged twice, May 16,2022. Four and a half months in I go the retrieve my expensive bag of shrimp to cook only to find over $100.00 of food fully defrost and smelling. I contacted the store manager and reported my lost. The store assistant took my information and said she would call me back, Suggesting I contact the warranty insurance in regards to my lost, but couldn’t provide a email address or phone number. I would not recommend this product. More headaches than the savings. Sam’s Club Plus Member

Do Not Purchase
I bought this about 1 and a half years ago. 6 months ago the freezer quit and a repairman found that a wire to the thermostat was loose. He tightened the connection, and this worked until last week. Again, I called a repairman and this time he found that the thermostat was defective. I contacted the company asking to purchase a thermostat and after about 10 days they wrote that they do not have parts for this freezer. This was a waste of money.

Buyer Beware
We bought this freezer in Feb 2021. It was nice to have a smaller upright freezer, making it easier to see and get things out. The previous freezer we had was a chest freezer and you have to dig to get things out. It worked great in the beginning. It went out in May 2023, no warning. Didn't last long...a little over 2 years. I lost $200 worth of food, meat and ice cream. And of course it was out of warranty.

Out Of The Box - It Doesn't Work
My food is RUINED. I have never had this happen to me in my life. It is horrible! Now I have to return this garbage back to the store. It's heavy and our condo is on the 2nd floor. I am so angry right now. Clearly there are no quality control standards set in place. They know it's bad and that is what upsets me the most. I was excited and didn't read the reviews. I saw 4 stars and thought it has to be decent. It should not show a 4 star rating. Packed all food inside only to find that everything has melted. All my ice cream bars are garbage now. Had to pay $50 for help to bring this home!!! Now pay $50 to bring it back!!!

Bought for parents had it delivered there stocked it full of meat and other food for them. and it worked one month then no longer cools the motor is running motor is hot but freezer is not cold. ruined an entire freezer full of food. hundreds of dollars worth of food and we can only get what we paid for the freezer back if we go return it to the store. very unhappy!!!!
