Have not had it very long, but so far so good. Picked it up & let it stand overnight before plugging in. Shelves froze up quickly and have kept everything solid since...so we are happy. Light weight, easy to move on it,s wheels, compact size but big enough.

Despite the large amount of packaging and protection the freezer had, at some point in its journey to my home it had been dropped on one corner of the bottom. This was not obvious from the outside. Not until the packaging was removed. See pictures. As this bent the frame near the back wheel, it required a bit more levelling to get it balanced on the floor. But it did level and the freezer is operating just fine. So far, I have not heard back from Sams Club regarding replacement or compensation. That part is disappointing. As to the freezer itself. It is operating just fine. Very cold inside. Lots of shelves. Great for sorting out your food items. But none are removable or adjustable because the freezer coils run through them all. This is only an issue if you have a large item. Anything bigger than 7" tall will not fit inside. So no large turkeys. It is a great addition to your refrigerator's freezer in keeping many items so you don't have to rummage. Being upright, you don't have to dig down like you do in a chest freezer. Digging your way to the bottom to find something. Now you can see most items right in front of you. Uprights may not be as efficient electrically, but they are way more efficient from a convenience point of view. $10 (?) more per year to run for less time spent digging is well worth it. Overall I am happy with the freezer operation and look. Just disappointed it got damaged along the way.

I like the freezer specially the convenience of storage in a position where you can see everything to have. There are two things that can improve; it's a little difficult to open the door (it closes very tight) and the amount of frost buildup it makes. I've had it for three weeks and so far it is working good.

I love this little freezer, it's exactly the size I needed. I'm a short 75 year old woman and was able to unpack the freezer and set it in place by myself. I almost purchased a small chest style but wasn't looking forward to standing on my head trying to reach the bottom and the hassle of organizing the food. This little guy takes care of both of those problems.

So far so good. Love the freezer and size. The price was very good compared to others in size range. I do not have the freezer long so I cannot say how good it is. I would have given it 5 stars but was not offered an extended warranty when I purchased on line. Hopefully it last, I really like it.

The Thomson Upright Freezer is the best size for my home and family. We had a slight problem while setting it up in that the door bracket on the bottom was bent. We called the number provided and a representative called back when he was free. By the time he called us we had solved the issue.

The freezer delivered timely, but after running for 2 days it just quit being cold. The ice turned to water and the food had to be discarded. The freezer is running, but the interior is hot and the even the motor in the back of the unit it very hot. It is defective and Thomson customer service is handled by a third party company and they are a joke! It has been over a week now and I have now sent the requested photos 3 times. I really feel they are stalling because I still have not been called after asking to speak to someone and no one has mentioned a repairman is scheduled. I thought I was getting a deal because the price was so low compared to other models, but the old adage is true...you get what you pay for! But still...$200 for nothing is a giant disappointment and rip off! Don't buy this!

I like an upright freezer over the box type as I get everything lost in the box type. This freezer is a nice size, has sturdy shelves, and holds plenty. I knew going in that it is not self-defrosting, but after about a month there is little buildup anyway.

I bought this online. It was well packaged but they one concern I had was there was a Dent in the front where a fork lift look like it had hit it and on the side under the clear wrap there was scraped off paint and black dirt. I was offered a discount and decided to go ahead and keep it and it's working well

We purchased the freezer because it was small enough to fit into a space in our laundry room and we needed additional freezer space. The only issue that I have is that it doesn't have a handle or a way to open without using 2 hands. One hand to hold onto the actual freezer and one hand to open the door. There is not an interior light which is okay for the space we have it located.
