This product is ok. I already have to defrost it and I have only had it a few weeks. This product was received with the top corner cracked but it seems to be working ok. If this one breaks I will not purchase a new one that is not self defrosting.

I bought this freezer 10/14 primarily to make ice for fishing trips and to store bait. I can make ice in 1 pound blocks ~ 12 at a time overnight (12 hrs) and still have 3 shelves for bait, overflow groceries etc. It's very humid in my FL garage, expect to defrost it every 4 to 5 months. Sam's put it on sale 2 weeks later but I couldn't get them to price match, their policy is limited to 7 days.

I saw this in my local Sam’s but it was out of stock whenever I decided to purchase. I am a plus member so my delivery was free so I ordered. Unfortunately it was received damaged. Top corner was cracked but I thought I can live with it but after installing it didn’t freeze. I am returning. Bought another in club to replace. I will give a second chance!

I read the reviews, several of them. I was worried of the over heating issue. I live in small town America so this ment a 2 hour drive to the location and 2 hour return trip, in which the freezer would be laying in the back of my suv and I do mean laying. I read several other sites on freezer transportation and decided to let the freezer sit upright until the next day. I plugged it in (the setting was already on #3 and i believe the instructions even said setting 3 which is the coldest) bam it was so hot to the touch it would have burned my hands and that is no joke. Determined to get this freezer to work I researched more. After the freezer was once again as if I had just unboxed it, I plugged it in this time I set the cooling setting on #1 and check the outside touch for overheating and it was perfect. I gradually increased the temperature allowing 3 to 4 hours inbetween rising the temperature, 1 then 1 1/2 then 2 and finally 2 1/2. My freezer is now 1 month old and is perfect! Never felt hot never gave me any indication this wouldnt be the perfect match for my needs.

Initially I was very skeptical on buying this freezer as majority of the reviews was pretty bad. After so much thought, I proceed with the purchase as I need an upright freezer that within my budget. I gave it a 5* as there’s not a single defect on my freezer at all! Everything was perfectly fine so far. I’m happy with this purchase!

Gotta tell you: In the little engine that could! - And did. Before loading the freezer, I wanted to reverse the door so it'd open on the right instead of left. It took my a couple hours to change it, mostly because I didn't have all the right tools or assistance as I could have used. But once the task was accomplished, it's worked perfectly.

Brand new freezer was beat up on delivery when I took it out of the box. Can't get it level so have to shim it. Would not buy a freezer this way again. Next time will be delivery with set up. That way if it has dents, cracks in plastic parts, and won't level like this one does, I will not accept it.

Had to drive to Hanover PA to pick up this freezer when our normal club is in Hagerstown MD. Once we got it home and unpacked we noticed that it would not sit level. Attempted to try and level it but then noticed someone must have dropped it somewhere along the line and it was dented underneath the frame and when we opened up the door even the shelves were buckled

Upon receiving the item the box didn't look bad besides a small tear in the card board. After removing it from the box the Styrofoam didn't look bad either but the top plastic was cracked in the back. The screw stays were broken. One screw wasn't tightened on the top. The door Dell off after removing the tape. The shelves ends are cheap plastic and were mostly popped out and some were broken. Would have been a perfect size for what I wanted but really cheap construction. Returned it to Walmart for a full refund. Customer service was Great.

I bought the up-right Freezer as an addition to our limited freezer space in our refrigerator and I'm glad I went with it rather than a chest freezer. It's much more convenient, reducing the time one must rummage around inside. Works fine but the jury is still out since I haven't had it more than a month or so. Hence 4 out of 5 stars.
