freezer was delivered on time however the bottom was damaged either in the warehouse or during shipping, not sure how this will affect the working of the freezer but all the workings appeared to be okay aside from a couple missing screws and bent frame.

We purchased this unit on line with Sam's Club, upon arrival it didn't work, it would not cool much less freeze anything. I contacted the Thompson under the terms of the warranty to have them repair the unit. They wanted photo's of the front, back of the unit, serial and model number, a copy of the bill of sale and a copy of the bill all of which I emailed them. They also wanted a copy of lading which I didn't have since I wasn't the shipper. Long story short, Thompson nothing to repair or replace the unit. Over a course of four or five days nothing was done except waste my time. STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNIT BECAUSE THE SUPPLIER /MANUFACTURE WILL NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL!!!!!!!!!

We have had the Thomson 6.5 upright freezer for about 4 years now. It’s the perfect size for our over flow. We use it for all our wild game when we hunt. We have had up to 5 deer in it at once and it was pack. That not whole deer. That processed deer. Deer steaks, burgers, breakfast sausage, sausage, ground beef, back straps, deer cubes. It was roughly around 300-350 of frozen meet. Once a year we have to defrost the freezer because the white ice frost will build up on each shelf. We clean it all out and put the food back in and it’s good to go. Easy Peezy. Money well spent.

A few things to consider when buying this: 1. The freezer is probably not designed for use in a garage. The shell of the freezer is used to diffuse warm temperatures and hot garages are terrible places to do this. 2. The racks aren't adjustable. Each of the rack doubles as the cooling coil so your packing options may be limited. 3. This unit loses cold temperature very quickly when you open the door a few times. Not recommended for high traffic freezer. I bought two and one is making a loud whining noise when working, so I'll be returning one. If you can accept the limitations above I would recommend this.

This find was a victory for me as I needed an upright freezer to fit in a small space in my pantry. It fit!!! Space is great for small family! I was surprised how much shelf space for only 6.5 cubic feet! Few things about it that did not make me happy. 1. Large dent right in the middle of the door - I put a magnet over it 2. The sides look dirty but I think it’s just the paint color -It’s in my pantry so I guess I’m ok with it not being beautiful!

After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical. The freezer is a perfect size for a small family and works well. I love the stand up freezer and shelves as it makes it easier to organize and is more accessible than digging into freezer chest. I have not experienced any issues with the freezer. I am very happy with my purchase.

Picked mine up at Sams Club Santa Clarita... Unpackaged, inspected, not a dent. Checked inside. The coils embedded in the shelf just means you can't hide grandma in the freezer. So far works great. Have it set up in my Toy Hauler. Throw in 40 pounds of ice and it's like a portable freezer until i get to my destination or i'll Leave it on the solar system at 1 amp per hour draw during freeze up. After freeze up the little freezer draws very little from my 500 watt system on 2 AGM batteries also bought at Sams.

Received my freezer for to to have a crack in the freezer and the door fell off as soon as I removed the plastic. The worse part is I have spent the past 3 weeks looking for another one and NO LUCK! It would be nice if they would get a supply in ASAP!

I wanted a small freezer to go in the corner of my kitchen. It fit great but when I started to unwrap it, there was a 3 inch dent on the door. Even though it was packaged well it must have been mishandled. I knew I could bring it back but repacking and wrestling a freezer back to Walmart was not something I wanted to do.

THE WORST FREEZER EVER!! THE FREEZER ARRIVED DAMAGED AND THE DOOR KEPT FALLING OFF, I THEN DECIDED TO ORDER A REPLACEMENT! WHEN THE REPLACEMENT CAME WHAT DO YOU KNOW! IT WAS DAMAGED TOO! I JUST ASKED FOR A REFUND AND DECIDED NOT TO BUY A FREEZER FROM WALMART.
