Hi Iam1crzylady. Your freezer is icing up because the door is not closing securely. Warm humid room air is entering the freezer and condensing. You can adjust the door by loosening the hinge on the top.<br />You can also make the front legs slightly higher than the rear to have gravity assist in closing the freezer door.<br />Another Tip - lubricate the door gasket with a bit of petroleum (Vaseline) jelly to keep it pliable (that aids in sealing).<br />Always allow cooked foods to cool to room temperature before storing in the freezer.<br />Always make sure that food items are tightly sealed in plastic bags (vs butcher paper) to prevent moisture from leaking from frozen foods.
