Perfect size

I boughg it yesterday and live 45 min away from the store. I had scratches all over it, the bottom door hinge was completely bent. Had to remand it to even get the door to stay on. There are only adjustable feet on the from of the freezer. Some of the door hing screws were put in at an angel and stripped, so i am having to adjust and repair this also. Very disappointed in the product for the size and price. Woudnt buy again

Freezer maintains good temp and keeps items frozen (you will need to defrost). Shelves are relatively close together so you won't store large items in this freezer. Biggest drawback - cheap frame will bend with almost no effort. There was no damage on the outside of the box when I picked it up but clearly it had been sat down hard and the back legs were bent badly. The metal is so flimsy I could bend it back straight with little effort. The support arm that holds the door in place was bent down too so the door would not stay on. Again, easy to bend up. If you can get it in place without it being damaged...it probably will work fine.

I purchased thisvertical freezer 2 years ago and it is still running strong! We store it in our garage for overflow veggies and breads and has been fabulous! Door seals so tight, sometimes it's a hard tug to open. Frost has built up, but after 2 years, no problem rolling it out to the driveway and letting it defrost. Wish it was about 1 inch wider inside to accomodate half sheet pans.

Jeez, this freezer is so awful! It gets so hot - an inferno -on the sides that I had to move it my main kitchen to the unused dining room. It also has a horrible sealing gasket along the sides of the door that allows air to escape; this causes huge amounts of ice to build up along the top of the interior shelves. Worst of all, yesterday, when I opened my freezer, my freezer HAD TURNED ITSELF OFF & almost $1,500 worth of food was ruined!! RUINED!! I was so shocked (as it had only been 3-4 months since I purchased it); I immediately checked the thermostat and saw it was set on the 2 cooling setting; I moved it to the 3 setting. Nothing happened. I then checked the electrical box to see if a fuse had blown, no blown fuse. I finally checked the freezer's electrical cord, which was still plugged into the wall, when I pulled it out, I saw that the third prong was lying on the floor. What on Earth!! What a horribly disappointing experience!

We bought this freezer for my parents for Christmas. Now, 3 days later, still not cooling. We have this on the coldest setting and it is currently 45 degrees inside. Now, we have the hassle of returning to the store. Don’t waste your time and money on this freezer!

Shame on Sam's Club for selling such a garbage product to its members. The item: Thomson 6.5 cu upright freezer. Its low price will tease you into buying it, but keep in mind It will definitely fail you, and you'll lose all your food. Thomson only supports it for one year. If it's older than one year, they will not give you any support on replacement parts or servicing info. This is a throw-away unit.
