Nice Surprise

I was very skeptical about spending the extra money, but found these on sale and thought I would try them. I was very impressed from the beginning. They make the kitchen smell good when washing, which is more than I can say for the cheaper brands I have used. But the ultimate test was when I placed a glass casserole dish, not rinsed, with spaghetti sauce, cheese and pasta baked right in it, into the dishwasher without pre-rinsing. I also put 6 large plates with the same remnants in there along with all the other things after dinner. They all came out sparkling clean, and spot-free, along with my drinking glasses and flatware. There was also a 13x9 baking pan with cake crumbs and frosting still in it and they all were perfect! I would never have believed it had I not done it myself. Im sold. It will be worth the extra money, although I will continue to look for coupons and sales, of course.

Will not buy again

I always used and loved Cascade for the past 35 years. In the last month my dishes have been gritty, and the only way to have clean dishes now with the new product is to hand wash the dishes in vinegar after cleaning them in the dishwasher. Now why would I want to hand wash the dishes when I bought a very high quality dishwasher? I am throwing out the 2 new boxes of Cascade I just bought. I am sure there is an environmentally friendly brand that will leave my dishes shiny again. I will not buy this anymore. I feel very sorry for the person who has to respond to all the complaints with such lame "fixes".

This product is awesome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cascade platinum is one of the best products I ever use. There is no need to rinse before putting your dishes in the dishwasher. It removes burnt on food. It leaves the dishes and cups sparkling clean with no residue. I would recommend this product to everyone.

Very good

The capsules are good, the smell is neutral, there is no foreign smell on the washed dishes, it washes the dishes effectively. after washing the dishes are without residue or streaks. The packaging is convenient to use. the price corresponds to the quality.

Great Product

I have been washing dishes, thinking I was saving money..maybe so, but I was tired last week and decided to use my dishwasher. Bought some Cascade Action Pacs. When I opened my dishwasher at the end of the cycle, I expected to find sufficiently cleaned dishes. I actually looked at the first glass for a while, it shined! My dishes look new again. Thank you.

"old" Actionpacs

I purchased the large package of ActionPacs. They were not dissolving in my dishwasher. I thought it was the fault of my dishwasher. The repairman came out and checked it all out and then showed me a trick. He placed an actionpac in a cup of warm water and it did not dissolve! It was the "old" actionpacs and not my dishwasher. Dollars poorer but smarter.. Liquid Electrolsol is my new favorite!!!

White Residue

A while back I wrote a review of the newest incarnation of Cascade - the lighter green box - that left a white residue on a lot of my dishes and pans. I went back to the older version and everything was fine (except the residue doesn't come off easily) - no more residue was added. My new box has started leaving the residue again! Metal and plastic seem to hold the residue most as my classware remains clean. However, I have to use steel wool to get it off my pans, and I can't get it off my plastic at all. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! I am now checking out other brands. After 35 years, I'm done with Cascade - it just makes more work for me.

Enjoy using Cascade Products

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Cascade products for a number of years because they do what they claim in the ads. I must admit to occasionally switching brands just to compare, but I always return to Cascade since it does the best cleaning job on my dishes and glassware. Living alone, I rarely run the dishwasher daily, so the dishes will sit for a few days. When I have a full dishwasher, I will run it with Cascade and am delighted with the results. I would definitely recommend Cascade to my friends and family.

Talk above easy & efficient!

I have used Cascade for years--the liquid and the separate rinse agent. When I spotted this on sale, I decided to try it. My dishes shine, and my silverware sparkles. There is a clean fresh smell when I open the dishwasher after running it. This product is everything that you claim it to be.

Poor cleaning ability

We just purchased the new Cascade w/Dawn 90 pack and I can say it is one of the worst cleaners I have ever used. If there is lipstick on a glass it will be there after washing, a coffee ring just smears down looking dingy, I left a little spinich on a plate and it was disolved in micro green spots but smeared down multiple plates. This is all new with the phosphate free stuff. The glasses really have to be hand washed and rinsed to come clean, so then why use a dishwasher. What a disappointment, my father worked for P&G for 20 plus years and now we have to change brands.
