Sarah, we're really sorry you had that experience. Our automatic dishwasher detergents will not foam too much if you use them properly according to the instructions on package. Some causes of foaming include hand dishwashing soap, rinse aids and faulty seals on your dishwasher. If you pre-rinse your dishes, make sure to rinse any soap off of them before loading the dishwasher. If rinse aid spills wipe it up with a wet towel. You may need to use less rinse aid. Finally check to see that your dishwasher is sealing properly and is working properly. To remove the excess suds from the machine, Remove the dishes from the dishwasher and use a plastic cup or bowl to scoop the suds out. Put 2 or 3 tablespoons of cooking oil or 2 cups of rubbing alcohol in the bottom of the dishwasher. Then, run a full cycle with no detergent or dishes.
