It also left a clean scent in our tiny kitchen while the dishwasher was running. We didn't need a spot rinse either. We just purchased a package of Platinum with Clorox, so we will compare the 2. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before using the Cascade complete packs, my dishwasher just wasn't getting my dishes clean: would often pull out "clean" cutlery or glasses with nasty bits stuck to them, and my dishwasher smelled musty. Using the Complete packs was a revelation; not only were my dishes spotlessly clean, but my machine seemed cleaner and smelled fresh. Cannot sing the praises enough of the Cascade Complete packs.

My husband and I have tried numerous types of dish detergent in the past, and then we finally tried the Cascade Platinum Pacs. We originally thought our dishwasher was broken; however, after using the Cascade Platinum Pacs for the first time...we realized it was the PRODUCT that was broken. We will not be using anything EXCEPT Cascade products in our dishwasher from now on.

For years we've been purchasing Cascade Completed specifically because it had phosphates and not bleach. It was a great product that I recommend to friends and they thought it was great too! Today I go to the store and notice that Cascade Complete has Bleach and no Phosphates. What? I come on this site to see what was up and now see you say State and Federal regulations restrict the use of Phosphates in dishwasher detergent. It appears Phosphates is just a problem in Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. I don't live in any of those states. Why can't you keep the good old formula in the other states? For now, since your formula is now like all others (you have bleach and no phosphates) there is not need to pay the premium (that I used to happily pay), and will look for another product that still has phosphates or will get “whatever's on sale”. If you ever decide to sell the old formula again I would be happy to purchase it. Also, since this was such a big change in your product you should have changed the name of you product to something like Eco Friendly but Won't Clean Your Dishes and Will Etch your Glassware cleaner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pods really work well - no prewashing. Even on tough stuff like 2-day old lasagna. 4-star is for fading patterns on my 25 year old stoneware. Used Cascade liquid for years - no problem. But since using this, noticing fading...

I usually use the Powdered Cascade and have for nearly 40 years. I happened to purchase a package of the Cascade cleaning pacs and put them in my dish washer as instructed on the package. I was washing a days worth of dishes which included a copper bottoms pan which has not been shined in years. When the dishes finished cleaning I could not believe my eyes, the copper bottom bottom pan was sparkling, that has never happened before with the powder. That is cleaning power I have never experienced before. I will only buy the pacs from now on knowing all my dishes must be their cleanest.

I bought these when I had a coupon to get them relatively cheap because I didn't know how well the packs would work. I love them. They are so simple and get my dishes totally clean. I never have to pre wash anymore. Just load the dishes, toss a pack in, have clean dishes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These always seems to get the dishes pretty clean except for some of the rice or sauce, but they don't always dissolve all the way so it seems the dishes are not fully cleaned. They are no problems with the way the dishes dry which is a nice bonus.

More detergent gave us grimy plates, rinse aid gave us a soapy taste and after 3 years we made plans to buy a new washer. Then I tried cascade platinum! Our cups come out clean, the dishwasher looks clean, and the packs are so convenient I never feel like I'm wasting a wash.
