[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These packs did not dissolve in our dishwasher. We do have well water, but it is not hard. (Other products dissolve.) After running the dishwasher, even with the hot/sanitize water, we found the gel pack in gooey lump in the dispenser.

I always considered dishwasher soaps equal and the advertising just puffery. However, I am a firm believer in CR( Consumer Reports). A CR writeup several years ago stated that the Cascade action pacs were the best cleaners, even though they were expensive. I was tired of pouring powder and using more than necessary and I don't believe in liquids. I have never regretted my decision. The pacs are convenient, contain just the right amount of detergent and, since I am on well water with a high mineral content, I have hard water. Since starting the pacs I do not have spotting or clouding problems.

I brought a box of Gel paks (recommended with my NEW dishwasher). They did not disolve after the first wash so I washed the load again. Opeing the door the second time, I found the gel pack still intact. I took the dishes out and washed them by hand. A couple days later I attempted a third wash with a new pak, this time it opened but the detergent was still in the pak. Needless to say, it was a waste of money and time. I will stick to other liquid detergents.

The little bit more that I spent was completely worth it! I've never had my dishes *sparkle*! I have a new level of expectations for my dish washing detergent now.

Have always used the packets.. The plain ones as our grocery has not brought in the swirl packets.. Was getting a residue - so switched to the liquid.. My glasses look foggy when I take them out of dishwasher.. Have had to do them by hand and rub hard to get them looking clean..

My kid are usually the ones to load the dishwasher. It may seem like something so simple, but they love using the action pacs. My son will ask me when I run out to go get some more so he doesn't have to use the other stuff. I notice the cleaner the dishes ARE, not seem to be. Not even the kids can get it wrong! Love this product!

I love the convenience and reliability of the Cascade All-in-1 ActionPacs! I never wonder when I will be out of dishwasher detergent, since each Actionpac equals one load. If I have "help" in the kitchen, they use the "right amount" to get a load clean. Never a worry about too much, too little, will the dishes be clean or spotty...... It's all good all the time! Occasionally the little things stick together, that is the only complaint I have. That is when "my helpers" don't close the container. Thanks!

CRYSTALS - solid in bottle. I spend good money on this product and had planned on always using it, but this is my second bottle that has crystals in it. It is useless. I can not afford to continue buying this product just hoping that it will be okay. I am needing to run my dishwasher right now and can not. NOT HAPPY!!!

I tried to the off brands but I always went back to Cascade, starting with the powder, then the gel but the pacs are the way to go. Easy to throw in the dishwasher, dishes always come clean with a brilliant shine and smell so refreshing.

I bought this thinking it would help me extend the life of my older dishwasher. But it was worse. After each washing, I wound up handwashing most dishes, because the food was now dried on. I tried the whole bag, with full loads or with just a few dishes. Did not matter. Still had to handwash most stuff. Not a helper at all.
