Learned my lesson

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given another brand and gave them a try, but after the first time using Brand X, I went back to my Cascade Platinum and I will never change again. I am guaranteed clean dishes the first time with Cascade Platinum.

Cascade Platimum Pacs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried these pacs because I had a coupon for them. I wasn't really impressed. The pac did not dissolve and I had to run the dishwasher again. I was not happy about that with the cost of electricity in MD. My mother always used Cascade products for as long as I can remember, so I was confident that it would do a good job. I don't know if it was because of my dishwasher or not, as it's only about 2 years old.

Something changed

I used to love Cascade products. However I ended up throwing out the last container that I had because my dishes were coming out foggy and etched looking. It did not take the stains off of tea glasses, so I had to add bleach, but even that didn't help the film left behind. I decided to try a store brand for half the cost and continue adding bleach (because nobody will add bleach to their products anymore)...and I am much more satisfied. My dishes come out sparkly clean for so much cheaper...even with adding the bleach, it is still less expensive. I'm sorry to say that this brand which used to be my favorite, has changed so drastically.

Best of the best

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we bought our new dishwasher, we started using a competitor's pac because we had read up on it and it really sounded like something we would like. After a couple of months of having to wash dishes again or hand wash them. This did not work for us. So we got a pac of the Cascade Complete. Wow! What a difference this has made in our life. No more having to wash twice or wash by hand before or after. Not sure that I will try anything else.

Problem with glasses color

I have special technique of leaves on frosted glass---glasses that are 20 years old and have been through many washes. One just came out of the new Cascade Complete in the clear packet...aqua instead of green...I suggest if are using anything special like crystal, china, or a special technique finish that you either hand wash or use a different product.

This is A Winner

Love the convenience. Love the smell and LOVE the way it cleans my dishes. Since it's just my husband and me, it takes quite a while to fill the dishwasher to full load capacity. I do NOT prewash my dishes yet the Cascade gel takes care of everything...brilliantly.

Cascade Platinum

I have been using this product for about 6 months now and love it. My dishwasher is older and was leaving spots on everything. Tried the Cascade Platinum tablets and I don't have to use two products at a time on my dishes. I am saving money and have no more spots. Would highly recommend this product.

Good Value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this product because I like the idea of detergent and rinse agent in one item. I have a busy household and have taught my sons to load dishwasher. They do a great job, but sometimes would overfill detergent or forget adding rinse agent when it was out. This product I have no worries and I think we use less detergent.

Phosphate Free Cascade

I have been a user of cascade products for many years. The new Cascade dishwasher detergent strips the finish off of metal items. It is a complete disaster. Please do not use for any plastic or metal items. It will destroy your prized cookie bake sheets and most metal items. The items end up rough and streaked with black and blue. Some plastic items come out of the dishwasher with a sandpaper finish. This product not recommended for any use.

Not For Aluminum Pans

I have been a cascade user for ages. However, I am very displeased with the newly formatted product (phosphate free). I have aluminum baking pans that I have owned for over 40 years and suddenly they have turned blackish-gray when washed in the dishwasher. They are still useable but look horrible and I'm embarrassed to have anyone see them because they look "dirty." It isn't only your product because I tried another one and the same thing happened. I think people should be warned not to wash anything aluminum with these new products.
