I have used this for a few years, after a learning experience with another brand, lesson learned, I will not be deviating from it again! I didn't realize how spoiled I was until I tried to save a few dollars and ended up stuck using the other product for about a year as I wasn't willing to throw it out... After having to thoroughly clean out washer of funky residue almost weekly during that time I have learned that some things are just worth paying for! Nothing cleans better than this stuff and it keeps my dishwasher clean inside as well. I only need to deep clean it a couple times a year and thats mostly a little build up around the drain area in the bottom and around the door seal and stuff.

The store brand used to leave a foul smell behinde along with food chunks, ever since cascade this is no longer a problem! My dishwasher is always fresh and every dish is clean. My husband and I both agree that this is a great product and the proof is in our dishes and silverware that come out very clean. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a dishwasher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My experience with Cascade started YEARS ago, first with Cascade powder, then liquid Cascade, and finally trying the very convenient action packs a few years back. I now use Cascade Platinum Action Pacs. It cleans EVERYTHING COMPLETELY even greasy silicone utensils, or crusty baked on casserole pans, leaving them squeaky clean. And my glassware just SPARKLES.

I have hard Water (well water) and Cascade Platinum Pacs is the only dishwasher detergent that works with my hard water! Never leaves hard water spots on glasses, and dishes come out clean and sparkling! I have used Cascade Platinum Pacs for years, and will never use anything else!

I have tried several dishwasher detergent and the Platinum is by far the best one ever. I did a test and left crusted food on plates and silverware and this detergent got everything off. I have a big problem with knives that have peanut butter on them, because they always come out with stains, but this perticular detergent got the knife looking like new. Will not buy any other brand name, but the Platium one!!

I was ready to use my dishwasher for a drain rack until I got a package of Cascade ActionPacs and its a Bosch! I hated the thing! It left food, even if I rinsed, almost washed them. There were spots and the dishes were dull. I was just tired. Just one time was all it took, and BAM, beautiful, clean, shiny dishes, pots and pans, casseroles, and flatware. I almost cried. I always considered dishwasher soaps equal and the advertising just puffery. However, I am a firm believer in CR( Consumer Reports). A CR writeup several years ago stated that the Cascade action pacs were the best cleaners, even though they were expensive. I was tired of pouring powder and using more than necessary and I don't believe in liquids. I have never regretted my decision. The pacs are convenient, contain just the right amount of detergent and, since I am on well water with a high mineral content, I have hard water. Since starting the pacs I do not have spotting or clouding problems.

I brought a box of Gel paks (recommended with my NEW dishwasher). They did not disolve after the first wash so I washed the load again. Opeing the door the second time, I found the gel pack still intact. I took the dishes out and washed them by hand. A couple days later I attempted a third wash with a new pak, this time it opened but the detergent was still in the pak. Needless to say, it was a waste of money and time. I will stick to other liquid detergents.

These pacs of platinum Cascade cleans my dishes better than the other Cascade products. They are usually grease free, shining and squeaky clean. Don't have to worry about rewashing my dishes when I use Cascade Platinum Pacs.
