Wow! I am sorry that I bought the 85 pack bucket of Cascade action pacs with Dawn. I've used the Cascade Complete Pacs with pretty decent results and thought their other products would be comparable. I was wrong. This product left the dishes feeling kind of grimy and now, many of my Oxo plastic kitchen tools might be ruined. They are completely coated in a thick, white, crusty film. Thanks, now I have to throw away about $9.00 worth of unused packs, but I'm happily switching back to the Finish Quantum with Powerball. Sincerely, Totally Unsatisfied

I was very pleased with my first pack of Cascade Action Pacs (liquid was amber colored). The dishes sparkled. Really sparkled. Then I purchased pack no. 2, and what a change! No longer is the sparkle there, and my teacups retain tea stains with the new Action Packs which have blue liquid in them. Had recently run a cleaner thru my dishwasher (before Pack no. 1), so it isn't clocked with old materials. Have you changed the formula???

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a single person, I don't run my dishwasher very often, so it has to work harder than it would for people who run it every day. Items can sit in the washer for several days (or more!). That was a problem, leaving food stuck on utensils etc, until I discovered Cascade Platinum Actionpacs. They clean just about everything off, with a minimum of pre-rinsing, I'd definitely recommend these!

I was surprised to find so many positive reviews! I have a large family, and DO NOT have time to thoroughly rinse each dish before loading. So, I USUALLY use the Cascade Complete liquid. It works well, but not perfectly all of the time. So, I decided to try this product both because it was on sale and I had a coupon. I am sorry I did. I have used 5 action pacs. Three of them have not dissolved! 2 of them I added to the undissolved ones and ran the dishwasher OVER AGAIN! So, I not only have waited for the machine to cycle, I opened the dishwasher to find that they were SO DIRTY, and the Action Pac had not burst. Not once, but THREE Times! Don't waste your time, or money.

Rather I use the Pure Essential packs or the liquid gel, this by far has to be the worst dish cleaner ever. Clearly not formulated for the hard water of south Texas. I had to hand wash all my dishes using vinegar to get the soapy build up of just a single wash. At first I thought my dishwasher was broken until I realized it was the Cascade. Very disappointing. I always bought Cascade in the past. No more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm absolutely in love with these action packs. I have tried different varieties of action packs, but this one works the best. With regular dishwasher cleaning, these packs work like a charm even after a day (or two) for not turning on (forgetting to turn on) the dishwasher. I won't use any other detergent.

It would be nice if dishwashing cleaning compounds such as Action Pacs had a place on them to score the tablet. We have a soft water system in our home, and the Action Pacs create too much soap in the dishwasher, not noticeable until one takes a clean glass, fills it with water, and notices a few suds on the top. However, I love the convenience of the pacs.

Cascade before the formula change was always the detergent to use in our hard water with great results. I couldn't be detered from using Cascade. After the formula change, results were not great, but for a while were okay. Now there is a rough finish to all of my dishes. Please put a warning to users with hard water that the water temperature, extra detergent, and rinse aid do not overcome the problem of rough finishes on dishes that now occur with the use of the new formula Cascade with DAWN. I can not stand to eat from my dishes now, I am hand washing and scrubbing all eating surface items as of today. We need a better solution for hard water areas, but it is not Cascade dish detergent!

While the idea is a good one, the implementation is not. The liquid part of these things stick together and trying to get them apart tears them and the liquid leaks all over (probably onto other packs causing more sticking ...). Yes, they say to keep them dry and dry your hands before grabbing one, but even that doesn't do the trick. They still stick together and tear. I won't buy these again. I'll stick to the power in a box.
