Phosphate-free Cascade Complete has one drawback -- it doesn't clean very well. A light load of lightly soiled dishes and utensils will emerge clean after a normal wash; a normal load of moderately soiled pots, dishes and utensils will disappoint every time even if put through the dishwasher's most stringent cycle. I have used only Cascade for years, but feel that Procter & Gamble has stumbled badly with its current formulation, no matter how politically correct it may be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried these pacs because I had a coupon for them. I wasn't really impressed. The pac did not dissolve and I had to run the dishwasher again. I was not happy about that with the cost of electricity in MD. My mother always used Cascade products for as long as I can remember, so I was confident that it would do a good job. I don't know if it was because of my dishwasher or not, as it's only about 2 years old.

I am so disappointed in the new Cascade! My dishes are cloudy and don't FEEL clean. Why should one need to rinse in vinegar (which does help) after running their dishwasher cycle to have clean dishes. Why not just wash by hand to begin with, then not need Cascade at all. BRING BACK THE PHOSPHATE! I don't want to wash my dishes by hand.

Recently I've had to start pulling bits of the undissolved plastic out of the sprayer arm of the dishwasher.. It makes me concerned about the inaccessible parts of the washer it also plugged the drain, causing the washer to leak on a wood floor.. Since using the gel pacs, the detergent door has also developed problems.

I have just recently switched to Cascade and am very disappointed in the results. My previous product cleaned the dishes to a sparkling clean shine. With Cascade Gel, I have to watch each piece as it comes out of the dishwasher and hand wash plates, cereal bowls, some cutlery and pots to remove debris. Not impressed.

I was recommended this product by a friend .Before I was never satisfied by any other dishwashing products and started cleaning dishes by myself which affected my hands. I like the way it cleans my dishes and also the dish washer gets cleans. But the only problem is the price. All people cannot afford it.So I would like to suggest that try to reduce the price a bit so that even low income people can also try this out.

I have used Cascade dishwashing detergent for over 40 years. It is the best I have ever used in getting my dishes sparkling clean. The fresh scent isn't so strong so it doesn't overwhelm you. The individual packets make it so easy to put soap in the dishwasher and it isn't messy. I have tried other detergents but I always go back to my Cascade.

I have to admit that I was very skeptical when I first bought Cascade Platinum. I have always been a bargain hunter so I always steered towards cheaper products, however, from the very first time I used it I IMMEDIATELY saw a difference with my dishes and my dishwasher. Every time I used it everything came out so clean. I have recommended Cascade to all of my friends and they have been astonished as well. I will never switch to any other product, its so worth every penny!!

So, I buy a package of the Cascade Pure Essentials Tabs and after 3-4 washes my pans start turning black on the outside. I come here and read how this has happened to numerous folks and the company reps say it is due to the phosphate free formula and aluminum pans are not dishwasher safe. WRONG WRONG WRONG. I also have a box of FINISH tabs which occasionally leave a white powder residue on the load but NEVER turned my pans black. So I figured I would check the label....guess what? FINISH IS PHOSPHATE FREE ALSO AND DID NOT TURN PANS BLACK. I understand aluminum pans are not dishwasher safe but for a company to say, Oh its all the pans fault, is ridiculous. Thousands of people have been using them in the dishwasher for many many years without them turning black so the fact that Boom! we change detergent all the sudden they turn black is the pans fault or our fault for putting aluminum in the dishwasher? When another brand does not turn them black? I don't think so.
