New Cascade NO CLEANS

I have tried a couple different re-formulated Cascade, including the All-In-One that is supposed to be the best overall, and none of them are any good since the phosphates have been removed. these new products have destroyed some plastic finishes and there is always film, heavy film, on everything. No more Cascade for me.

Cleans dishes but scent lingers

I bought Cascade complete because my dishes were not coming out clean with other detergents. However, when I first used them, my dishes and kitchen began smelling like the "fresh scent". Now, when I drink or eat from plastic dishes all I smell is the dishwashing detergent. I would not recommend this particular scent of cascade. However, I would try a non-scented version because I do believe if cleaned my dishes better than any other brand.

Works too good

I was excited when I first started using Cascade gel packs because it took off cooked on residues from my bakeware and pots. My dishes and glasses seem to almost sparkle. My major complaint is that it seems to be eating the aluminum bottoms on my pots. First, it took off the cooked on specks of grease and left a powdery residue. Now, it appears to be breaking it down. I love how it cleans everything else, but I am not going to start hand washing all my pots. I am going to have to start using something else.

Not Happy

I have always used Cascade liquid and been very pleased. Now with my new dishwasher it advises to use these little packages. I also use the Rinse Aid. I had no idea what happened to my pretty red plastic glasses which now are totally edged. My pots lost their shine and my new dishes are losing their red edging. Just reading the reviews I see that other people have similar problems. I will switch to another maker.

Pacs will not dissolve

Out of the ten action pacs I have tried (I purchased a bag of 20), only four dissolved. The other six were partial open/dissolved and most of the powder was stuck to the inside of my dishwasher's dispenser and had to be pried off. Very displeased by this, as I have used them previously with no problems at all.

very disappointed

My dishes and stainless steel dinnerware are covered with a film that can be felt and seen as a white residue after several washes. THIS STUFF CLINGS TO IT and even by rubbing it is hard to remove. And the fiberglass scott-brite cloth leaves scratches. We used before the Cascade advanced powdered soap. but after the phosphate got removed. We thought that the actionpacs would solve it. IT DID NOT.

This product ruins aluminum cookie sheets!

I have used Cascade powder for more than 20 years. The pods seemed like a good product. NOT! I don't know if it is because I have soft water or what ....it has ruined my cookie sheets!.. Does not effect the non stick side but definitely made changes to the aluminium side!

Expected more from such a leading brand

I am very disappointed in the all in one packs. There are some good points...I do like the convenience...how easy it is just to slip one into my dishwasher. However, my dishes come out with a film on them that is disgusting and tastes like soap. After having to re rinse all my dishes, I might as well just do them by hand in the first place.

Not what it use to be!

I have been using Cascade for 34 yrs and have never considered using anything else. Until now, the product does not clean like it use to, so if I am only going to get some of my dishes clean, I could use any brand. I dont know what has changed about Cascade but I can tell you loud and clear change it back! Sometimes change is not for the better and this is one of those times. I have always had clean dishes before but more and more I am either rewashing or hand washing some dishes each wash. And as I stated earlier if I am going to to that I can use any brand. Please change it back!!!

I can't drink out of my coffee cups because they smell like soap.

I don't know what you changed, but soap sticks on my glasses and anything plastic that I put in the dishwasher. I thought my dishwasher didn't rinse and I ran everything through again, but the dishes still smelled like soap. I will go back to the old liquid instead of the new pouches.
