This product does not dissolve in the dishwasher.

For 2 straight cycles and the same load of dishes, the cascade action pack did not dissolve. My dishwasher has been running for 3 hours now, 2 cascade packs thrown up for opening but the powder doesn't dissolve and just sticks to the inside of the dishwasher door. For someone like myself who pinches pennies in order to put food on my plate doesn't have the money to waste on soap I have to throw away and 3 plus hours of the dishwasher constantly running. I would love my money back so I can purchase a product that actually works and doesn't waste my electricity.

Best clean - Hands down!

We used to use Finish Powerball and Jet Dry Rinse Aid....Then we tried Cascade ActionPacs...No matter what we did, we had hard water stains, smudges, and lefton food more often than not. Then I heard about Cascade Platinum and tried it. Let me tell you, we were blown away after the very first use. The glasses no longer looked cloudy, the coffee mugs didn't have a tint anymore. This stuff is legit and worth the price!

NO Phosphates NO shine

I'm so sad Cascade has changed to no phosphates. I've been using cascade for over 10 years, and loved every new invention they made...until now. We must have hard water because even after one wash, our dishes no longer rinse clean. Cascade used to take care of that with rinse side and the packets. Now, It's a waste of time to wash my dishes twice because of the awful film. I'm going to switch to something that works.

Spotty Glasses

While I do like the smell of clean after using Cascade Complete in our dish washer, all of the glasses have to be re-washed to remove the spots and haze. We went to this product because regular Cascade was leaving the same haze. We will have to figure out a different detergent.

Mind BLOWN, really though! :)

Oh My Goodness, so I've never believed in just throwing the dishes in the dish washer. Normally I scrub the food off and rinse before loading. Recently, my husband wanted to help me by doing the dishes and he just threw them all into the dish washer (as is). My Imediate reaction was to stop the dish washer and ask him why he would just thrown them in, but I waited and thanked him for the oh so needed help ( we have a very demanding one year old). When I started to unload them, I couldn't believe they were so clean and spotless. This is a great product for when you're in a hurry to get things done. It works hard for you, so you don't have to.

Sick and tired of rewashing dishes!

I am so frustrated that my dishes, especially my once CLEAR glasses are gross to use unless I rewash them by hand. I have used the Cascade Complete pacs in combination with rinse aid and being certain that the washer is loaded properly and I run Hot water before I start my washer. Please bring back phosphates or reformulate! This needs to be changed!

VERY Disappointing Product

I have been using Cascade products for many years, and just recently tried the Cascade Complete packets, with very disappointing results. With this new product, dishes and glassware are left with a white powderly substance stuck all over them. I have had an appliance repair tech look at my dishwater twice and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I also have a new water softener and the rep from the water softening company tested the water hardness of the softener today and it was perfect. I also run the water in the sink until it is scalding before turning the dishwasher on and the dishes still come out with the sticky white substance all over them. After reading other reviews, I see that other users are having the same trouble. I just bought a bag of 26 packets, which were not inexpensive, and now they are totally useless!! Very BAD product.

BUY WITH CAUTION!

Be cautious with this. It contains Dawn Dishwashing detergent. My dishwasher started leaking out the front when I changed to this product. Thinking that the dishwasher needed maintenance since it is 19 years old, we changed the door seal, baffles and cleaned the float. Then I tested it with just water, no leaking. Ran it with a Finish pod I had left over before I bought this, no leaking. Then I tried this product again and water came out the door, but only after the pod had been released during the cycle and, when I opened the dishwasher to see if I could pinpoint the leak, mounds of suds came flowing onto the floor. Until I looked at the product description closely I did not realize that it had Dawn dish liquid in one of the pouches. I finally realized the dishwasher leaked only because of the amount of suds that were being produced during the cycle. I also ran another water only cycle and found residual suds from the Cascade wash in the water which means that the Cascade was not rinsing completely at the end of the cycle, leaving detergent in the dishwasher and consequently, on the previously run dishes. I have discarded this product and gone back to Finish products which produce minimal suds which is what automatic dishwashers were designed for. You may not have a similar experience, all dishwashers are different, but in this case I found that it was not my dishwasher, but the action and additives of this type of pod.

Please know, we always expect your dishwasher to run smoothly, and lead to delightfully clean dishes, J. Reading about your experience makes us wonder if you happen to have a leak in your rinse aid dispenser, since you mentioned the maintenance you had done on your machine. It may also help to make sure your washer is level, if it's tipped, this could cause leaking, too. We'd truly like to talk further with you, we hope you'll give us a jingle any Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, EST. Our number is 1 (800) 925-6278, call when you can.

Cascade for burned pots

I have had a few pots and pans that were beyond help with scorched stuck on food in th bottom, plus the ususal scorch marks up the sides. I put in Cascade powder, about 3/4 cup, and added really hot water to just cover the bottom, (3") ant placed lid on and soaked a few hours. The mess lifted out, and the stained sides easily came clean with a scrubbie and a bit of cascade or soap. The pans were like new. Thank you!

Terrible product but here is an alternative

We bought a new dishwasher over Christmas and used a "brand" dishwashing detergant that left white film on everything. We then upgraded to Cascade thinking it was the "Store Brand" detergent. Same results. I added vinegar, clapped my hands 3 times and hoped for the best. Same problem. Finally realized that it was the lack of Phosphate in all dishwasher detergents. Here is the alternative, buy Cascade for commercial use. There is still phosphate in it and the dishes come out great. You can purchase this item on line or at a restarant supply house
