dishwasher destroyers

i am letting everybody know not to buy these cascade action packs. i bought a tub of them at my local store and had to stop using them. the little plastic pouch that holds the cleaning agent does not disolve completly and plugs the nozzles in the rotating spray bars.

Disappointed

I have enjoyed using the Cascade Complete products and thought I would try the Cascade Complete in Citrus Breeze Scent...WRONG thing to do!! I started noticing that my food tasted like soap, the plastic baby bottles and containers were turning orange! VERY UNHAPPY with this product! I will still use the Cascade Complete, but NEVER the Citrus Breeze Scent!! I mentioned it to my daughter and she too had the same thing happen....what a shame because usually it is nice to get the citrus smell.

Don't like the film that is left afterwards!

I loved Cascade products until recently. I recently bought Cascade Complete Action Pacs only to use them and have issues. My dishes smell very strongly of the dish detergent scent and have white powder residue all over each dish. So disappointing to use your dishwasher only to have to completely wash each dish over.

this product caused my machine to leak

We started using the Actionpacs about 3 months ago. About 2 weeks ago our machine started leaking around the door. We replaced the door seal, thinking that was the problem. The new seal failed to fix the problem. After checking with several online repair sites, we found that the Actionpacs were the cause of our leak. There was a severe build-up of residue inside the machine caused by the material that the Actionpacs are made of. We cleaned this residue off and the leak was fixed. I would not recommend this product to anyone for that reason.

New Cascade NO CLEANS

I have tried a couple different re-formulated Cascade, including the All-In-One that is supposed to be the best overall, and none of them are any good since the phosphates have been removed. these new products have destroyed some plastic finishes and there is always film, heavy film, on everything. No more Cascade for me.

Cleans dishes but scent lingers

I bought Cascade complete because my dishes were not coming out clean with other detergents. However, when I first used them, my dishes and kitchen began smelling like the "fresh scent". Now, when I drink or eat from plastic dishes all I smell is the dishwashing detergent. I would not recommend this particular scent of cascade. However, I would try a non-scented version because I do believe if cleaned my dishes better than any other brand.

Works too good

I was excited when I first started using Cascade gel packs because it took off cooked on residues from my bakeware and pots. My dishes and glasses seem to almost sparkle. My major complaint is that it seems to be eating the aluminum bottoms on my pots. First, it took off the cooked on specks of grease and left a powdery residue. Now, it appears to be breaking it down. I love how it cleans everything else, but I am not going to start hand washing all my pots. I am going to have to start using something else.

Not Happy

I have always used Cascade liquid and been very pleased. Now with my new dishwasher it advises to use these little packages. I also use the Rinse Aid. I had no idea what happened to my pretty red plastic glasses which now are totally edged. My pots lost their shine and my new dishes are losing their red edging. Just reading the reviews I see that other people have similar problems. I will switch to another maker.

Pacs will not dissolve

Out of the ten action pacs I have tried (I purchased a bag of 20), only four dissolved. The other six were partial open/dissolved and most of the powder was stuck to the inside of my dishwasher's dispenser and had to be pried off. Very displeased by this, as I have used them previously with no problems at all.

very disappointed

My dishes and stainless steel dinnerware are covered with a film that can be felt and seen as a white residue after several washes. THIS STUFF CLINGS TO IT and even by rubbing it is hard to remove. And the fiberglass scott-brite cloth leaves scratches. We used before the Cascade advanced powdered soap. but after the phosphate got removed. We thought that the actionpacs would solve it. IT DID NOT.
