Why Intentionally Make a Non-Recyclable Tub?

The product is great, cleans not just the normal debris & grease, but also after a few washings cleaned the tarnish of my copper bottom Revere Ware pots, coffee/tea stains out of my white mugs, and years of yellowing & discoloration off my oldest stoneware plates & bowls. However, I have to ask, why make an otherwise recyclable #5 plastic tub non-recyclable? Especially for a company that has a whole web page dedicated to "sustainability." If it's solely because of the metallic label, why not use a compatible plastic wrap or paper label? Is it just fancy marketing, or is there some chemical degradation of the product that requires the protection of the opaque metal covering?

Don't work, tossing them out

We have used Cascade powder and gel for years and have always been happy with the results, so when the "Action Pacs" came along, we thought they would be just as good. Better in fact, because they use less soap. They're not better - not by a long shot. Our dishes came out either smudged or just not clean. Lots of food was left on the surface and silverware had to be rewashed. To make certain it wasn't our dishwasher, we went back to powder and the results are great. Sorry Cascade, we cannot and will not recommend.

Poor

I've tried all the Cascade dishwasher products. The poorest have been the COMPLETE & COMPLETE with Dawn. I was disappointed by the brown smudges that were left on my white dishes. All required scrubbing and additional washing. I also feel the product is too expensive!

This product is leaving a white film on my dishes.

This product along with cascade complete is leaving a white film on my dishes. I have used Cascade for years and it has never done this before. I am wondering if the product has been altered to meet environmental rules for California. If so, has it been altered for Nevada? I wil shop there for the old Cascade if it is available.

New Fomulation Does not Clean and Leaves Deposits

Ever since the elimination of phosphates Cascades does not clean as well and leaves a white deposit on the dishes. Went back to an old box of Cascade I had left over and behold, clean dishes. They were clean with no white deposits. I know this is due to EPA regulations but please, P&G there has to be a better way. I'll continue to use the old formula until I run out.

Cascade Extra Action w/Dawn Gel Packs 4x Concentrated 110 Packs

This detergent doesn't dissolve, leaves dishes dirty and makes my dishwasher leak! I called them and although they fully support their product, they are sending me a coupon to replace it with something else. I did have to replace my rug in front of the dishwasher because it leaked so many times, which cost over $40 but at least they are sending me a coupon for something that will hopefully work better.

Filming ruining my glasses/dishes

I'm all for improving the environmental conditions and eliminating hazards, but there has to be a substitute ingredient for phosphates that will eliminate this awful film from ruining our dishes. Yes, I've read the suggested solutions of re-washing with vinegar, which then requires re-rinsing of the vinegar solution. So, instead of using an acidic substance which we also have all around us for farming and plant growth, we now need to waste a precious natural resource, water, in order to remove the film after each washing. Or, if you don't have the now necessary extra time to do these extra steps, like me, then you revert to using disposable plastic or styrofoam cups and dishes and add to the land-fill predicament. So, which is the greater environmental danger?

Does not clean well!

I just switched from FINISH® All in 1 POWERBALL® Tabs to the Cascade Complete Gel - orange. I immediately could tell the difference. My dishes did not come out as clean, some not at all. My dishes were prerinsed and I still needed to clean them afterwards. Our dishwasher is only 9 months old and we have not had this problem till switching detergents this week. Also, you can taste the soap on the dishes and smell it really strong. Nothing worse than drinking some water and tasting soap. I even reran the dishes on a rinse cycle, but the soap just clinged on. I will not be buying this product again.

Not as Good as they Claim

My wife and I had been using finish for many years and had decided to try cascade since it promised better results then finish. The problem is since we switched over I have had to rewash several loads of dishes that have either had food particles left on after the dishwasher has cycled. Also every load since we have gotten cascade has had water spots on our glasses. For a company that says they pride themself on spot free and clean dishes we havent seen it. I dont know if we just got a bad batch of the cascade complete or what but I have to say their not making themselves look to good. This is disapointing since they spend so much on advertising.

Ruined utensils

I resently switched to your product, Cascade with Dawn 32 action packs. I have had a canning funnel for over 25 years, it still looked pretty good. I used your Action pac and now it looks terrible, the color is gray and brown etc. It looks as though it had been throgugh a war. My black plastic set of cooking utensils are now ashy gray. I have, or had, a canister set, they were black, they now have white spots all over them that will not come off. Not only has your product ruined some of my most used and best looking cooking accessories, all of my dishes have had to be rewashed, by hand to get the nasty film coating off of them. Most of my utensils will not come clean even after several washings
