Having chosen to preferentially buy cascade for years, during the past year, the quality of the cleaning has been dreadful leaving powdery smears all over glasses and plates. Switching to the gel was even worse leaving thick gooey residue on glasses, dishes and within the dishwasher itself. It took substantial time with a scrub brush to clean out the dishwasher. I now have a useless 3.5 liter bottle of goo in my garage.

I purchased Cascade ActionPacs scented with Gain, since I love the smaell of Gain. The smell is great, but the taste it left on my plastic travel mugs, tupperware, etc. is horrible, and I had to throw most of it away. It worked well as far as the cleaning goes, but I prefer my coffee and my leftovers to taste like coffee and food, not Gain!

Action packs "weld" to one another in the package. This causes individual packs to tear causing waste and a mess. I'll bet your engineers can find a better material to eliminate this problem. Hope you take the time to create a new & improved Action PAC product.

This package is labeled "Our best Cascade" -- I was very disappointed. Yes this cleaned well, but the odor is overwhelmingly strong. I tried to overlook it, but soon noticed ANY plastic ware, even that which is dishwasher safe, absorbs the soap odor. It is VERY strong. After eating out of plastic bowls cleaned with this soap, I thought my food had been tainted or was bad. I dumped it out before realizing it was the bowls which had been washed w/this Cascade soap. This cleanser will soak into the plastic washed in the dishwasher - it doesn't fade. You have to throw plastic-ware away. Of course, I can't ask for a refund for 26 pac bag, b/c I used about 5 packets before I realized how bad it was. I don't have the receipt! Convenient for P&G -- this stuff is not cheap.

I bought the cascade action pacs because there were very few bottles of dishwashing liquid left on the shelf, and lots of tubs of these various gel pacs. I thought, new technology, might work better. I am very disappointed in this product. I tried it twice, and both times it left a white film on the silverware and glasses. It also did not clean nearly as well as the liquid detergent. I will be sending in the UPC code for a refund. This is a terrible product. I would not recommend it to anyone.

These do not work well! Many times I have opened the clean dishwasher after it has completed running to find the Cascade pack still in the dispenser, not dissolved and dishes not clean. Also, even though we keep the container closed, the packs stick together and have to be pried apart before putting in the dishwasher, which makes the contents spill out. Since several in each container have failed, I will try another brand.

Using the gel pack for the dishwasher has removed the finish on some Fire King bowls I have and some glassware with patterns on them. I have had them for years and have always put them in the dishwasher and just started coming off when I switched to Cascade. Dishes were clean, just a tad too clean!

I purchased the dishwashing tabs, and I must say that it cleans my dishes. However, the scent remains on my dishes, especially my drinking glasses. I can even taste it on my Tupperware glasses. I would think this was perhaps something to do with my dishwasher but no other dishwashing tabs do this. I will not buy this product again because of the scent. I don't need my dishes to have a nice smell - all I want is them to be clean. If the scent is removed, I will consider purchasing them again.

This product has a serious flaw although it does a perfectly good job with cleaning. I bought a high-end dishwasher that requires this type of detergent and, disliking being told what to do, bought Cascade (have used the powder for many years) instead of the detergent recommended by the manufacturer. Very rapidly, plastic items (eg Rubbermaid lids or water bottles) developed a fragrant odor that profoundly affected the flavor of the food stored in the containers. I found some of my leftovers to be inedible due to the perfumed taste, not to mention that I like my water to taste like water. I bought the recommended detergent and the problem has disappeared. Sorry about that.

I have been using this for a while, but it does not remove baked on food as advertised therefor the three stars.
