On the positive side, these pods clean perfectly. My dirtiest pots and pans come out completely clean with no scrubbing needed. Unfortunately, the smell is so overpowering that I can't use them. The smell is unpleasantly perfume-y and fills not only the kitchen but surrounding rooms, too. It also scents my dishes, and I can smell the perfume when drinking my coffee. I've switched to Cascade Free and Clear pods which have a very light scent that disappears quickly and doesn't linger on dishes. Unfortunately these pods are hard to find and aren't carried by grocery stores in my area.

i'VE USED CASCADE FOR YEARS AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, NO MATTER WHICH PRODUCT i BUY THERE IS A TERRIBLE RESIDUE ON EVERYTHING IN THE DISHWASHER.. i HAD TO SCRUB MY SILVERWARE WITH A SCOTCHBRITE TO GET THEM BACK TO NORMAL AND THE SAME WITH MY STONEWARE DISHES.. I WAS HAVING COMPANY AND WAS EMBARASSED HOW BAD MY DISHES LOOKED SO I SCRUBBED THEM AND IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET IT OFF. EITHER YOU HAVE ADDED SOMETHING NEW TO YOUR PRODUCT OR YOU HAVE TAKEN SOMETHING OUT OF IT TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN. i READ SOME OTHER REVIEWS AND THERE WERE OTHER COMPLAINTS FOR THE RESIDUE PROBLEM ALSO.

At first I thought I was going crazy because I have used Cascade for years but after washing with these "Complete Packs" my dishes started tasting like soap, expecially anything with plastic on it like a spatula. I can't get the taste to go away and I even do an extra rinse. I have a great , new dishwasher and it is still terrible to serve food and have it taste like soap.

I purchase the Cascade Complete “All in 1” Citrus Breeze scent dishwashing detergent. It does clean the dishes well but I have a problem the fragrance scent. The fragrance attaches to the plastic glasses and storage containers. The drinks and food tastes like the fragrance scent from the detergent. I have had to toss some of the plastic drink ware because of the smell and taste of the drinks. I tried cleaning the drink ware with baking soda to remove the scent and that has helped but the scent is still on the plastic. I will not purchase this product again. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I have used Cascade products successfully for years but the last two Cascade products, Cascade Complete liquid and ActionPacs, I purchased have performed poorly. My teacups remain stained after a normal dishwasher cycle. I will not purchase this product in the future.

I have purchased Cascade products for years and have been satisfied with the results until now. I purchased a 120 oz. box of Cascade Powder w/Dawn a few days ago. I would NEVER buy it again nor would I RECOMMEND it. It leaves a white film all over your dishes! At first I thought I needed to clean the dishwasher & did so. Then ran another load of dishes. The same thing happened. I had to wash everything by hand then. I had to scrub the glasses to get that film off! Now I have this HUGE box of Cascade that I can't use because it is an inferior product. I'm out the money I spent on it too. I can't take it back because I have used some of the product. I'm debating on trying the little packets, but what if they do the same thing? Sorry for the negativity Cascade, but this product STINKS!!

Action pacs are not working for my dishwasher. I have hard water and one pac does not clean thoroughly. I was told by P&G agent NOT to use two pacs. Light browns stains remain in dishwasher and on dishes, though I rinse prior to loading. I even compensate by putting LESS dishes in racks and check for proper loading. Rather defeating purpose of dishwasher, it seems to me. Still having problems...that I did not have with Cascade powder. So it is back to powder for me.

I have used "Finish" for quite a while now - my dishes are always clean and just great. I decided to try buying Cascade. After one wash, I noticed my dishes (glasses in particular) had a bad smell and affected the taste of food/drink (especially water). I bought Finish again, and my dishes smell and taste perfect again. Now my only debate is whether or not to throw out the full container of Cascade, or see if I can donate it to a shelter/soup kitchen (which may not be a good deed if it's going to make their food smell/taste terrible too).
