They contain an extremely effective blend of acetaminophen, aspirin and caffeine. The caffeine is a GAME CHANGER. For older I get, the more drinking alcoholic beverages dehydrates me and leaves me with a wicked headache. No matter how much water I consume, I still feel drained and in pain the next day. I have tried taking these and within an hour, I feel almost back to normal. The pills are a moderate size and easy to swallow.

I find that the combination of Acetaminophen (Tylenol), Aspirin, and Caffeine works much better than plain Tylenol or Advil does. I recently tried the Excedrin Extra Strength Headache formula. I thought it was just as effective as the regular extra strength product. Upon comparing the two, it seems that they are actually the same product. They have the same ingredients, strengths, dosages and form (caplets). I am not sure why they named the same product with a different name, unless they are re-naming it. I found this to be confusing because Excedrin is not just for headaches. It is also advertised for muscle aches, arthritis, colds, flu, even menstrual cramps. As long as the product itself has stayed the same though, I will continue to purchase and use Excedrin because it is consistently more effective than its competitors.
