[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really hoping Voltaren would give some relief, but honestly it didn’t do much for us. The instructions were confusing right from the start. It says you can only use it on “no more than two body parts” for 7 days straight. She has arthritis in both knees, her wrist, and her elbows, so we weren’t sure what counted as a “body part.” Do both knees count as one area? Or is it literally one knee = one area and one wrist = the second? There’s no clear guidance, and for people actually dealing with pain in multiple joints, that makes it harder to know how to use it correctly. Even after following the directions as closely as possible, there really wasn’t much improvement. The only thing she felt was a warming sensation, similar to Ben Gay or other typical over-the-counter cream options. But the warm feeling didn’t turn into actual pain relief or reduce any discomfort in the joints. We used it consistently for the full 7 days just to give it a fair chance, and still no noticeable difference. For the price and the way it’s marketed, I expected at least some temporary relief, even if minor. If I’m recommending an OTC product to someone dealing with arthritis, I want something that actually helps hold them over until they can get treatment from their doctor. Unfortunately, Voltaren didn’t do that for her. It may work for others, but based on our real experience, it just wasn’t effective and didn’t live up to the expectations.

The gel goes on easily and smoothly. I found that it didn’t really have much of a scent, which I liked. It worked great on my knuckles and I’ll be purchasing it again in the future.

It hasn’t completely stopped the pain, but it is definitely less. I like that it absorbs quickly and only has a slight scent. It’s not greasy which is great since I use it then get into bed! I have been having slight knee pain also so I’m going to start using it on my knees too!

I used it on my knees and instantly felt a cool sensation after application which was pleasant. I would not seek this product out again unless recommended by a professional.
