Please bring these back!!!!

These are way better than the quick oats that Sam's is carrying now. I would buy this product twice per year. Sam's has changed a few of the products that they carry and this is one of them. I'm not happy about it. I hope they bring these back. These also make superior cookies.

Don't have it shipped!

I purchased the old fashioned oats and the quick oats in the same online order for shipping. The quick oats arrived with other items in a box and it was all fine. The old fashioned oats were shipped later all by themselves with just a shipping label slapped on the box and arrived very damaged. I can't believe they don't put the oatmeal box in another box to ship it so it arrives intact. Never again!

Oatmeal challenge

30 or 90 day challenge 100% correct

I was always skeptical of the Quaker Oats challenge of eating oatmeal every morning for 30 to lower cholesterol. I am a 62 year old diabetic male, my cholesterol levels at least 2 out of 3 parts for several years. So I decided I didn't have any thing to lose so I did it. My blood work is done every 3 months so I started with my 90 day period. I am a 100% believer . I can't vouch for this challenge enough. If you have a problem with controlling your cholesterol then you have nothing to lose and very simple to do.

Doesn't cook well in the microwave. Disappointed!

I'm not sure how oats can be defective, but these don't cook up like any oats I've ever purchased. I cooked them in the microwave like any old-fashioned oats I've ever purchased, and they are still like hard oats sitting in water after three minutes of microwaving. I certainly wouldn't buy these again.

Too Tough To Chew2

Total crap! Have not had them for a couple years and decided to go back to these instead of the HEB apple cinnamon instant oats. Put them in a bowl with water as directed and added 1/2 minced apple. As I previously did, I let the sit for 2 hours. Microwaved them as directed for 3 minutes. These were extremely tough and not soft like I remember them being. Oh well, back the the HEB instant oats

No longer edible.

I have been eating oatmeal for breakfast for years. Quaker used to be the gold standard. However, that's no longer the case. I recently bought a 10 lb box at a warehouse club and these oats are not edible. They remain hard and do not absorb water no matter how much water I use or how long I microwave them. There is something not right about these. I will not purchase again.

Poor customer service

Was unable to cancel my order. I called to cancel my order an hour after ordering and was told I had to wait till the items shipped. They all shipped at different times. I was told one item was cancelled and it still ended up at my door. The other two were out for delivery before any other shipping updates were available. I made so msny phone calls and nothing happened

Always Delish!

We always made the instant oats variety until the day we mistakenly bought Old Fashioned and were frustrated by the change in soak and cook time. We learned quickly to soak the oats at least 30 minutes before cooking them for 5+ minutes on the stove top. Wife still prefers instant for time, I prefer old fashioned for the texture. Our compromise? I make the oatmeal. For the people who complain about oats that won't cook? Could the quality of your water be an issue? For a while we owned 2 homes; one in the PNW, the other in the midwest. Our enjoyable coffee recipe in the PNW was awful in the midwest even though it was the very same mail order coffee source, coffee maker, etc. Only the water was different. PNW used twice filtered well water, the midwest used tap water which smelled of sulfur. Using bottled water until we could install a filtration system made the difference. I remember not liking our oatmeal as well in the midwest which used tap water. Altitude and humidity made a big difference in our baking as well with successful recipes for us in the PNW failing in the midwest. Not that making oatmeal is a science, but, where the oats are consistent, the water, climate and cooking methods differ. Blaming the oats doesn't seem credible to me.
