- 5 out of 5 stars review11/5/2016When the Dr. told me my cholesterol was too high and he wanted to put me on medication, I told him to give me 2 months to lower it myself. So I went home and proceeded to eat the recommended serving size (3/4 c.) every day and my next blood test proved your oatmeal works.....No cholesterol med's for me!
This really lowers cholesterol!
BJ SealOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 1 out of 5 stars review5/1/2023I have been eating oatmeal for decades and always went with store brand. I decided to try Quaker since everyone said it was better. I mixed up my first batch with the classic 2:1 ratio and is was extremely watery. I have always used the Easy as 123 method. 1 scoop oatmeal, 2 scoops of water, and 3 sweet n lows. I eventually got it to be the right thickness but the ratio was way off, more of a 1:1 ratio. I wasted so much oatmeal to try to get there and based on what I am seeing here, I may just go back to what worked for me.
Going back to store brand - Something Changed?
Richard TOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/12/2020I have rediscovered an old favourite that makes more than just Oatmeal and oatmeal raisin cookies. When living healthy it was a staple, today I made a 'Berry Crisp' using the oats to make the topping. Delicious. Will be incorporating this into my goal of clean eating! - 5 out of 5 stars review5/31/2016When I have cooked my bowl of porridge, I love to spice it up. After putting in honey and a little more milk, try adding a pinch of cinnamon, or ginger, or nutmeg or vanilla extract. My favorite however is the seeds from 3 green cardamoms and some nutmeg added after grinding them up in a pestle and mortar. Yum yum!!
Spice it up.
HobnobbobOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/1/2021I enjoyed this! It has been a while since I tried this, so it may have changed, but it tastes clean and healthy and it makes me feel confident about my food intake and lifestyle. It makes me feel like I am taking care of myself, and it's also a treat.
I enjoyed this! It
janes70Originally posted oninfluenster.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/24/2021You can't beat the Quaker. Good old fashioned oatmeal just like grandma fixed. Just fix with brown sugar and a little cream, or add in some applesauce, or even flavor with a little flavored coffee creamer. Overnight oats is also a great way to eat them with fresh fruit. You can't go wrong with the versatility of Quaker Oats.

nursecibulkaOriginally posted oninfluenster.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/8/2021These are my absolute favorite oats and I use them daily to make my overnight oats! It's seriously the most versatile breakfast, full of fiber and I never get sick of them! I constantly switch up my recipes/flavors, but Quaker Old Fashion Oats will always be the staple!!
These are my absolute
alyssac226Originally posted oninfluenster.com - 3 out of 5 stars review10/12/2021I am curious why you changed the lid of the old fashion oatmeal container? It is just too flimsy and falls off too easily. I have spilled it more times than I can count, as if it tips over it opens, if you grab it from the top it separates and falls off. Please consider changing it back to the way it was, as I am very disappointed and am sure I am not the only one.
The top is terrible
BetteOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 4 out of 5 stars review6/21/2022I love using the old fashioned oats for everything. Adds a good texture to chocolate chip oatmeal cookies and adds body to overnight oats. My toddler loves to eat oats and I know quaker is a well known and respected brand so I have no issues letting him go crazy in the morning.
I love using the
Originally posted oninfluenster.com - 1 out of 5 stars review2/15/2024Why did you change your oatmeal recently? It's tough and tastes terrible. Did your product team try this before they decided to market it, because they absolutely would have let you know it was awful. Who made the decision to go ahead with this production? - I thought it was my choice - I checked the label twice. Same label as forever - but not the same oatmeal. I'll be looking for a new oatmeal.
I wouldn't buy anything else ... UNTIL NOW!
goaskaliceOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/9/2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A bowl of warm oatmeal is what I love to have for breakfast, along beside a glass of milk and maybe orange juice. My quaker oatmeal taste great. Even as a child I can remember waking up to the breakfast table. A bowl of oatmeal was waiting you. And in my family, the oatmeal was breakfast. I believe if we had eggs and grits, it was something special was going to happen that day. Everyday oatmeal was on the breakfast menu. The different with oatmeal back then and today is, their are a variety of new flavors to choose from which makes eating oatmeal better ,and it does taste better. I enjoyed a flavor to my tastebud, instead of eating plain oatmeal. This is a great oatmeal for anyone who like...
Great Oatmeal

itsnaniOriginally posted oninfluenster.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/4/2016This is a good value in this big size. The Quaker Brand is the best especially when used as a hot cereal, the generics are maybe OK for cooking or a filler for meatloaf etc. After it is opened I find it keeps better if I put it in a tupperware-type container or a heavy zip lock bag.
good value
carolOriginally posted onwalmart.com - 4 out of 5 stars review7/23/2015I made these oats doing exactly as instructions said to use 1/2 cup oats and 1 cup water or milk, they were as runny as a bowl of cold cereal with milk covering them, somebody needs to put the right directions on the canister of oats. I'll do it myself tomorrow using about half the water, I would think before they put instructions on the canister they would try it themselves. Other wise they are great tasting.
Runny oats
Barber 46902Originally posted onquakeroats.com - 5 out of 5 stars review4/22/2016Quaker Oats Old Fashioned oatmeal is very easily adapts to both cooking and baking recipes. It add a lot of food value and does only good things for our bodies. For breakfast it can have a lot of things like fruit, berries, yogurt, grains, and seeds added to give even more of an impact for starting the day. We grind it in the food processor and use it in place of flour for some recipes.
Great for both cooking and baking.
Lucy GirlOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 1 out of 5 stars review1/22/2020Dear Quaker Oats I have been eating Quaker Oats Oatmeal for breakfast ever since I can remember and I’m now 76. Now I am eating the instant “Original Oatmeal” for breakfast every morning. Are the Quaker Oatmeal staff members “Out of their minds”. I don’t know who implemented the “NEW RECEIPT” but I, as a qualified taster, I do not care for it! To the point I may start looking for another Brand! The texture, and flavor have changed! What else is there? Unhappy Customer John
What happened to the Original Recipe?
JohnIIIOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/15/2021I love Quacker Oats for breakfast. I heat up a cup of water and add the quacker oats while the water is boiling for about 5 minutes. If you want to drink the oats add a same amount of oats. It tastes so good. You feel satisfied and at noon when its lunch time you feel full. You can eat a small lunch.
I love Quacker Oats

Although it takes a little bit of time to cook it's so much better and healthier and tastier than the fake ones that you just pop in the microwave for 30 seconds

It was the answer, he lost weight and his Blood sugar has been controlled since. 2006. We eat Quaker Oats everyday for Breakfast. In winter we eat hot oats topped with plain fat free Yoghurt, sunflower seeds and berries. Yummy! In Spring we switch to plain Old fashioned oats topped with half a banana then plain Yoghurt, fruit and sunflower seeds. I also make bread and add Oats also oatcakes.
