My daily oats, but make it cookies

I eat oats pretty much every day, but my favorite way to eat them barely qualifies as oatmeal: breakfast cookies. Mash one banana, mix in one cup of these oats, shape into little cookies, and bake at 350° for about 10 minutes. That's it. Two ingredients and suddenly eating cookies for breakfast feels like a responsible adult decision. Quaker Old Fashioned oats are always in my pantry and if anyone asks, yes, cookies are breakfast food.

Box slit on bottom

The oatmeal in itself I'm sure is good, but the box has a slit in it to where oatmeal was coming out. With it having a slit in it, I choose not to eat this particular one. I do not know how to get a picture on here . I took one but don't know how to get it in here

So many ways to use it!

I love this as a food basic in my pantry. I add to it for breakfast (raisins, cranberries, chopped apples and pears, chopped walnuts, spoonful of peanut butter and/or applesauce, and both cinnamon and ginger!), and I add it to meal entrees (instead of bread in meat loaves and burgers!)...it is one of my healthiest, loyal go-to and FILLING foods - this 76-year-old has strongly improved her health since she found ways to use it DAILY...

What happened to the Original Recipe?

Dear Quaker Oats I have been eating Quaker Oats Oatmeal for breakfast ever since I can remember and I’m now 76. Now I am eating the instant “Original Oatmeal” for breakfast every morning. Are the Quaker Oatmeal staff members “Out of their minds”. I don’t know who implemented the “NEW RECEIPT” but I, as a qualified taster, I do not care for it! To the point I may start looking for another Brand! The texture, and flavor have changed! What else is there? Unhappy Customer John

    very good

Quaker product is great but I have to say I'm disappointed that the great value was not in stock because the great value old-fashioned rolled oats is as good or better than the Quaker but because we use them so much I had to have them and was grateful for the substitution I hope this curbside pickup never goes away My husband said it's the best thing that's ever happened to shopping

    I really enjoy this

I really enjoy this product as well as the 1 minute instant oatmeal. I use this in my kids smoothies to bulk them up and make them more of a meal. Oatmeal is loaded with fiber and potassium also iron so its amazing as a morning pick me up. Also just as a nice in a bowl of oatmeal too!

    My Go To Cereal

I've grown up with Quaker Oats. My mom served it to us for breakfast before school and I kept the tradition alive with my own family. As an empty nester, I can get a little more creative with how I choose to flavor my oats. The plain flavor allows me to experiment by adding a variety of different flavors finding flavor combinations that taste amazing. I have to say that eating oatmeal is always an enjoyable experience, my appetite gets satisfied, it's healthy and a warm feeling always ensues. Thank you Quaker Oats!

    This is my all-time-fav

This is my all-time-fav oatmeal. No added sugar, just the good healthy fiber! I usually boil some oatmeal with milk, and I like hot oatmeal :) With some fruits, it can be a quick yet healthy breakfast. And I love my new Corelle plates, cereal bowl and mug ❤️

    Too good to cook!

I prepare my old-fashioned Quaker Oats raw, with milk, cut fruits, nuts, raisins, and a dash of cinnamon. My wife eats them raw without adornment. I like the nutty taste; she points to the heart-health benefits, observable in her case. However, I do not recommend using the one-minute oats because they tend to coalesce and lose their nutty taste and consistency.###

I just really like Rolled oats.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been eating oatmeal since I was teenager and I never struggle with my weight.... But I like rolled oats particularly coz i like chewy and food that has a little character morethan just plain instant oats. But since I came to the states I hardly find rolled all i find in the supermarket is instant oatmeal....and I know you also have big pack like 10lbs where can buy that?... I hope to hear from you.

    I eat this almost

I eat this almost everyday for breakfast but I do have to be honest and say that just eating it with plain milk is no fun and tastes blend. I would only buy this if your gonna mix it up with choclate protein powder and bananas. Portions are Great and last me about 2 month assuming I eat 80 grams 3 times a week

When I was little my mom would make oatmeal for us all of the time! I just loved the way she made it to, she'd blend the oats, milk, cinnamon and vanilla in the blender to make it just a little smooth and then cook it slowly all together, it's the creamiest tastiest way to cook regular oats. I totally recommend buying Quakers original oats and adding things you like to it. Quaker Oats Old Fashioned

    Love these oats. Great

Love these oats. Great for overnight breakfast like: oats, chia seeds, almond milk, yogurt and some fruits and berries. It's really healthy, easy to prepare, oats become very soft and chewy. And it healthier to eat long cook oats instead of fast, cause your body spend more time to digest food, which means you are not hungry all the time

    Overnight Oats-Creamy

I will say that I only just started to use these for overnight oats. It's been several months now. I noticed that my oats were much creamier when I let them sit longer in the refrigerator. If I make them at 9:00pm for breakfast the next day, they are okay. If I add milk at 3:00pm or 4:00pm the day before and let them sit longer, they are much creamier. Hope that helps everyone complaining about the creaminess. I also add almond extract or bananas and peanut butter powder and chia seeds. Yum!

I have this container at work for a quick and healthy breakfast. Oats are super filling and good fuel for the day. I will say, the big container of oats are unflavored and can be bland if made with only water. I like to add in vanilla soy milk + peanut butter + banana to make a really yummy, flavorful breakfast.

    What happened to the texture?

My morning bowl of Quaker old fashioned oats has lost the natural texture I have grown to expect. My usual quick boil in very little water results in what looks like gummy mashed potatoes. Please...bring back the original Quaker Oats your customers have loved for do many decades.

    Naked!

There isn't anything more comforting than a naked bowl of hot Old Fashioned Quaker Oats. I was raised having oatmeal for breakfast. It was tradition to have it with milk and at least one teaspoon of sugar (white or brown). The ingredients are simple and wholesome. As I got older, I omitted the sugar and eventually the milk too. Eating "naked" oatmeal isn't bland or boring. When Old Fashioned oats are made with water, they plump up and satisfy hunger. Oatmeal doesn't have to be a breakfast food and it doesn't have to be a cold winter day to have a hot cereal. Eat your oatmeal "naked" anytime!

These oats are a “pro-oats” must have. Inuslly mix with water and protein powder in the morning and they're delish. They obviously come bare and therefore have a lot less sugar and fake ingredients than pre made oats. Extremely versatile and a must have for any gym rat

    long time family favorite

I am 69 years old and i have been eating old fashioned oates since my grandma prepared them in cookies , fried oatmeal patties, and in a nice hot bowl of oatmeal .this was before i was 8 yrs. old. I liked my hot bowl of oats because it made me feel good on cold days & dad would let me put maple syrup on it.

    Container

I've been buying Quaker oats for many years but today, I once again lost the entire container to floor as the round cardboard caved in while picking it up. The plastic top never stays on these types of containers which has been a problem for years. I now have oats all over my kitchen and it's not the first time. I came here to sound off about it but am now reading that there might me GMO's in your oats. What happened? Ypu were the original old-fashion American product. Now you are just like all the companies ... cheap packaging, GMO and something has changed recently because the oats don't taste the same either. Camr to complain but I think it is just time for me to move on. Over 50 years I've been eating Quaker Oats but will be starting a ...

    Perfect Breakfast Food

Not only is breakfast the most important meal of the day, but it is also my favorite meal of the day. Old Fashioned Oats allow me to dress my breakfast how I want each morning, while knowing I will always be full until lunch time. I prefer the Old Fashioned Oats over Quick Oats simply for the thicker texture. It's definitely worth the additional two minutes in the microwave. There really is no beating the original!
