- 4 out of 5 stars review3/10/2021This oatmeal product has been a part of our breakfast for many years. It's great quality for the price. It's healthy and good on a cold day even for dinner. Once my granddaughters were old enough this oatmeal became part if their diet too. Other than as a great oatmeal, the oats are delicious for making oatmeal cookies.

They are very affordable. I live the cardboard container. I can reuse them or I can us either for starting my outdoor fire pit. Buy these you will not be sorry.

Originally posted oninfluenster.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/22/2019I love these oats because they are quick and easy to make and you can add whatever you want for flavor and they are also perfect for making oatmeal cookies or no bake cookies and add great crunch to making granola which is why my family always buys big tubs of them so it will last because we use it a lot before having to get more I love the Quaker brand.brittanyh22Originally posted oninfluenster.com
- 5 out of 5 stars review2/11/2016Yes, Old Fashioned Quaker Oatmeal is the best energy supplier , especially for these cold winter mornings. This has been my breakfast of choice since I was a little girl in the 1930's, growing up on Long Island. I still have happy memories of the Blue Shirley Temple bowl of steaming oatmeal with raisins (my mother's choice) and the delicious feel of "good."

DidiOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 5 out of 5 stars review3/5/2021Quaker Oats get the job done. Whether making oatmeal, granola, or baking...you can't go wrong. A tried and true brand/company. You always know you're getting a decent product and don't need to worry much about it. Plus, for the price, Quaker is great.

brittnis4Originally posted oninfluenster.com - 1 out of 5 stars review10/16/2014Have used Quaker instant Oats, first thing every morning at work, for years. Now I will have to look for another brand of instant oats, as Quaker chose to make a change without telling the customer. The oats never thicken up, they remain like water, that's not what I expect.
Poor quality and taste
Ken MOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 3 out of 5 stars review2/2/2024I must agree with all of the negative reviews. We, also. have been using Quaker Old Fashioned Oats for more years than we can count. They always turned out smooth and creamy, whether prepared with water or milk, microwaved or on stove top. This new batch does not turn out this way. The oats are tough and chewy. What happened?? I already spoke to someone via your toll-free phone number yesterday who was very nice. I had no idea that other consumers were having the same negative experience with the product until I went online just now.
Also disappointed in the processing change

When I’m on a strict diet I eat this for breakfast with a tiny bit of half and half and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and it really helps keep me full until lunch. I especially like it during the winter months. The good thing about oatmeal is that it’s incredibly easy to make and you can really do a lot with it. I use it to make my own granola and I also use for a lot of baked goods. Definitely recommend this to other people.Originally posted oninfluenster.com
- 5 out of 5 stars review11/18/2020I love to eat Quaker Qats Old Fashioned with sweet butter and dried cherries or cranberry. It also like to eat my Quaker Qats Old Fashioned with fresh blueberry and honey. I love to start my morning with it. Yes I would recommend it to others because it great for the heart.terrilynnn1Originally posted oninfluenster.com
- 3 out of 5 stars review5/6/2023Never had oat before until recently, so I gave this a try. The instruction is to cook it on boiling water for 5 minutes, it came out like poridge. Note to self not too much of water next time since I like it thicker. I put some fruits in to make it more tasty. Otherwise without any topping it tastes bland. Im not a big fan of instant oatmeals because of their sugar level. This one at least I can control how much of sweetness to put in. Could be a healthy meal for someone in diet.
Old style oats
iyunOriginally posted oninfluenster.com - 1 out of 5 stars review2/23/2024I have been eating oatmeal for almost 50 years. I have always eaten the old fashioned type. I have been using a different brand for the last couple of years and decided to give Quaker another try. They are very chewy and don’t absorb the water when cooking. I’m not sure if this is a batch problem or a sourcing issue. Which by the way is not available, the label says distributed by Quaker but does not give where the crops are grown. I will be going back to the organically grown oatmeal I have been using and cannot see a good reason to try Quaker again with the lack of quality. I am disappointed and again having to rethink what I purchase and what I eat. Something has changed over the years with Quaker oatmeal.

DhksOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 1 out of 5 stars review7/11/2015I prepared a bowl of oatmeal in the microwave two days ago and noticed brown spots that I thought were part of the product. Today I noticed brown bugs in the container crawling around. The product reads "Best before Oct 03 16 L142" on the bottom. Tried to file a complaint but system would not take my bar code number from the container. This product lot should be recalled.
Product infested with bugs
EdwardTOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/29/2014I am writing regarding the pull top. It should be redesigned. It is very difficult to try to pull the top off. When it finally does pull off everything pulls off the whole thing. Then every morning I have to push the plastic ring down all the way around the top of the box and then push the lid down. It's not good, A waste of time and frustrating to me every morning. Also, your Questions and Comments phone number 1-800-367-6287 is incorrect. I called to talk to a rep. regarding these problems and left a message. I received a call from another company saying Quaker Oats did not receive my message and that they get these calls all the time. You definitely have to do something about this problem. Then I tried to find another number on your webs...
I eat the Old Fashioned every morning and love it.
netterOriginally posted onquakeroats.com - 5 out of 5 stars review3/22/2022I find myself making this in the morning when I have extra time to cook it and it’s relatively on the healthier side, so I would eat it on the day I work out. Usually when making this I follow up with some cinnamon and other fruits such as strawberry and banana to give it more flavor.

- 5 out of 5 stars review11/28/2015[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got turned on to quick oats cold by my buddy! Just use sweetener and milk and you just don't have to wait. They are quick but I never knew how! They still have all the nutritional value in the smaller version. I use both kinds of Quaker Oats and it is a quick reach for either one. Whether hot is better than cold, I still don't know. Cold oats rules my kitchen. Add (chocolate chips- yeah!) stuff to it. Holy Moly!
Eat It Cold

It’s also good for you so that’s another good reason to use this product.Quaker Oats Old Fashioned Oatmeal (42 Oz.) and Sunmaid Natural California Rasins (20 Oz.) Bundle

jennah86Originally posted oninfluenster.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/13/2021I love old fashioned oats. They are firmer/chewier than quick oats. You can food process them to make a nice oat flour to use in recipes. These fill you and fuel you up for the morning. Has a very hearty flavor, and I have been known to add syrup, fruit right to the pot for extra flavor.
I love old fashioned
christines171Originally posted oninfluenster.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/8/2016[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It would be helpful if you noted on your instructions how much to increase the liquid if you're cooking more than two servings. The oats doubled but the liquid increased by 3/4. Does it continue to increase by 3/4 for each additional serving?
