I have this oatmeal every day - cook in microwave!

I use this original old fashioned (Not the Quick oats) oatmeal for breakfast every day, since discovering I have diabetes. I just scoop 3/4 cup of oats, add 3/4 cup of water and heat it on high in microwave oven for 2 minutes. Make sure you put it into a bowl with high sides (e.g., salad bowl, instead of cereal bowl), as it will climb up the sides during cooking. Also, while at the store, I always take off the top lid to inspect that the inner seal has not been broken - sometimes it is! (in that case, I put the lid on the bottom, so that shoppers and store workers will know that it shouldn't be sold.)

Old Fashioned Quaker Oats

I have not been eating oats as long as horses have but I have eating. Quaker oats as long as I can remember. Makes simple ingredients oatmeal cookies, and meat loaf filler. too. No longer a low cost poor folk food. Now a more expensive health food. So put on the feed bag healthy people.

Still good, but pay attention to the label

Tastes the same as when we were young, except now we no longer sweeten it...just add fruit & cinnamon. If they have made changes to their formula, so be it. As long as that change is not a detriment to our health or the environment. For those complaining about their 1st world problem; You should note that the label will show either "whole grain ROLLED oats" or just "whole grain oats". That makes a difference in the cooking results.t matter.

WALMART SHIPPING STINKS Quaker oats spilled in box

Quaker Old Fashioned Oats are the best, always have been, BUT WALMART SHIPPING STINKS! Container arrived partially open that the bottom of the canister and oatmeal leaking out into the shipping box. No way of knowing what entered the food in the canister just as the oatmeal spilled out. Send me a refund or replace the item with a new one please!

30 or 90 day challenge 100% correct

I was always skeptical of the Quaker Oats challenge of eating oatmeal every morning for 30 to lower cholesterol. I am a 62 year old diabetic male, my cholesterol levels at least 2 out of 3 parts for several years. So I decided I didn’t have any thing to lose so I did it. My blood work is done every 3 months so I started with my 90 day period. I am a 100% believer . I can’t vouch for this challenge enough. If you have a problem with controlling your cholesterol then you have nothing to lose and very simple to do.

My breakfast staple, fast & easy!

I am conditioned to eat a healthy & quick breakfast. All I do is 1/2 a cup, cinnamon spice and plain water and microwave! It's been my staple for almost every morning. Having this on hand really is great & I found an oatmeal cake recipe that was so good! OH and overnight oats you can prep this for a few days! Great pantry staple!

Please put Quaker, Old Fashioned Oatmeal, Whole Grain, 42 oz in a sealed plastic bag like you do laundry soap when shipping. The bottom of the oatmeal container was crushed in shipping allowing ANTS to get inside with the Quaker, Old Fashioned Oatmeal, Whole Grain, 42 oz. . I love Quaker, Old Fashioned Oatmeal, Whole Grain, without ANTS!!!

Quaker Oats Old Fashioned

I like the Quaker Oats old fashioned style. I as a consumer, prefer less processing of the food I eat and this is why I buy the old fashion style instead of the quick oats. I am appreciative that Sams Club offers the old fashioned style at a good price.

Quaker Old Fashioned Oats 42 ounce Canister

I just love me some Quaker oats. Doesn't matter if it's Old Fashioned or instant. I use both. Don't believe these Quacks on the video watching site that say Oats are not healthy. It's a big, fat lie. I lost a lot of weight one time, over 75 lbs. One thing I did was chomp on raw oats like a horse. I maintained my muscle mass and got thin.

Great product!

The in-laws like this more than the quick oats. Found these fresh and as expected. Bought a few of them then sealed them in Mylar bags with O2 packets for long term storage. Great deal when it's a price per pound comparison to other store brand names.
