Great product. But didn't ship well from Walmart

The product is a staple in my diet, and Walmart provides a value-priced option. I ordered 12 to split with a friend. But one container had completely broken open because it was boxed improperly. The return process is not that easy, so I didn't bother. I chalked the experience up to the fact that Walmart doesn't pack oatmeal properly for shipment. I don't live near a store so driving to return a $4 container doesn't make sense. While I will continue to buy the product, I'll need to search for another store from which to order it.

Great for any meal - hot goodness

Make sure you have a container that can hold the bulks of this big, double bag offering. Keeps the second bag and most of the first fresh while you enjoy about 2 lbs kept in a smaller container over several weeks. Easy to prepare. Great with chopped fruit added, or butter, or sugar, or just plain.

Very good oats, a nice texture, firm not mushy

I eat oatmeal nearly every morning and this is my favorite kind. The old fashioned oats have a nice texture, they are not mushy like the quick oats. The boxes I received are both fresh with very good dates, giving me plenty of time to use them, but I'm not sure why Sam's requires you to buy 2 boxes since they shipped mine separately. This is a great value, much cheaper than buying the 1 or 2 pound containers in the grocery store. I have two 2 pound Quaker Oat containers which I refill, one 5 lb bag actually fits in the 2 containers if you shake them down a little.

Quaker Old Fashioned Oats 42 ounce Canister

I just love me some Quaker oats. Doesn't matter if it's Old Fashioned or instant. I use both. Don't believe these Quacks on the video watching site that say Oats are not healthy. It's a big, fat lie. I lost a lot of weight one time, over 75 lbs. One thing I did was chomp on raw oats like a horse. I maintained my muscle mass and got thin.

Healthy choice at an Unbeatable Price

for just under $9 you get 2 sacks of old fashioned oatmeal, that's 10 lbs,I use 3 cups of oats with the amount of water for this serving size,it lasts 2 people about 4 days, it's much healthier than the instant oatmeal,if you compare that even to generic oatmeal, you can't beat the quality or price anywhere, it's a win,win

Great oat flour and oatmeal

Want oat flour? Grind these Quaker Oats for a supreme and affordable oat flour. Want oatmeal? Cook these with a touch of unsalted butter and milk - salivating. Quaker Oats is definitely the best brand for oats. Easy to digest, no funky things in it (like the Great Choice brand.

Old Fashioned Quaker Oats

I have not been eating oats as long as horses have but I have eating. Quaker oats as long as I can remember. Makes simple ingredients oatmeal cookies, and meat loaf filler. too. No longer a low cost poor folk food. Now a more expensive health food. So put on the feed bag healthy people.

Great Baking Oats

Great oats! I use mine for baking and it’s wonderful. I usually cook my oats from Trader Joe’s to get steel cut. I do not like this brand for breakfast. However, they make amazing cookies and a wonderful topper for cobblers! The container is wonderful for children’s projects when you are finished.

Sticks to yyour Ribs

I love the Old fashioned oatmeal. all those flavored and instant oatmeals and the kind in the individual "instant" packets just don't make it for me. Who can possibly be so busy they cant take time to make a proper bowl of oatmeal? I like different textures in the bowl, so i boil the water then toss in a handful of oats every minute or so- - that way some are soft, and some are nearly raw. Toss in a little honey and you've got grandma's oatmeal. When I would eat oatmeal in New England, the old folks would say it will "stick to your ribs". for years I had visions of oatmeal clumps hanging off my ribs like Spanish Moss. Funny how kids get strange ideas.
