I read that others had issues with containers opening in the box, but thought I would give it a try because of the great price. I know Quaker packages them in cases of 6, so I thought it would be safe to order 12. I was wrong. I received a box of 7 busted containers with no packing material, and a box of 5 busted containers with no packing material. What a waste!! Thank you Walmart!!

Being able to buy this large quantity at such a great price works well for me. I cook this oatmeal for my 12 yr old English bulldog who has stomach issues. I mix in pumpkin and shredded chicken to give him additional protein, but he loves it and it makes my life easier.

I make batches of oatmeal to eat for breakfast at work two or three times a week. I cook two bowls worth with milk and a little salt and then reconstitute it in the microwave at work. I use almond/coconut milk when I reheat the oatmeal and it is delicious. I exercise every day and I believe my oatmeal breakfast fortifies me on the inside to get fit and stronger. I recommend a spoonful of almond butter and Wee Bee honey to make it sweet and satisfying.

I love the Old fashioned oatmeal. all those flavored and instant oatmeals and the kind in the individual "instant" packets just don't make it for me. Who can possibly be so busy they cant take time to make a proper bowl of oatmeal? I like different textures in the bowl, so i boil the water then toss in a handful of oats every minute or so- - that way some are soft, and some are nearly raw. Toss in a little honey and you've got grandma's oatmeal. When I would eat oatmeal in New England, the old folks would say it will "stick to your ribs". for years I had visions of oatmeal clumps hanging off my ribs like Spanish Moss. Funny how kids get strange ideas.

The steel cut oats came with two holes in lower part of bag, thank goodness now had fallen out due to second layer of paper was holding (barely) Had to move the oats to a different container. This was down right tough due to my age (89) and strength. I will not buy this again.

The funny thing about these is it only takes a few seconds to be ready. I slice a banana, sprinkle a goodly amount of raisins into the bowl, unceremoniously dump some old fashioned oats on top, put in a dolop or two of water from the kettle I use for my hot chocolate, and stir. A couple of "dolops" probably add up to less than or about a quarter cup. I get the oats damp, and they are good to go - a great hearty breakfast at the campsite or around the house - Life is camping for me, Oats are what I start out the day with - Oats are even what I start out breakfast with when having eggs, bagels and such. Old fashioned oats = 5 stars. JZ

The bottom of one box was broken and oats spilled out inside the box on everything else. The cost is not worth the problem of returning. Your packing this time was terrible...just for your information. The other items are not ruined because of it.

I love Quaker Old Fashioned Oatmeal. I grew up eating them and won't eat other brands. Nothing tastes as good as these. I eat them cooked as hot cereal, baked into cookies (diabetic cookies, too) and raw with yogurt and nuts. A great quality product for a good price.

We love our Quaker Oats Old Fashioned. I use most every day. I make healthy treats which keep us on the straight and narrow. We enjoy oatmeal in the mornings. I add peanut butter, whey, pumpkin seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg. Mmmmmm. My husband enjoys his plain.

The bottom was smashed in and I had oats everywhere on other items, which wasn't that bad but the box that items were mailed in had holes in the corners and oatmeal came out on the carpets. Lots of cleanup needed. Ruined box of oatmeal, would not use because it was broke open.
