Was very disappointed when I got my order. The oatmeal was at the bottom of the box laying down and the detergent I ordered was on top and smushed the oatmeal and flakes were all at the bottom of the box. I only had half a container of oatmeal left. Not a happy camper

Very good oats, a nice texture, firm not mushy

I eat oatmeal nearly every morning and this is my favorite kind. The old fashioned oats have a nice texture, they are not mushy like the quick oats. The boxes I received are both fresh with very good dates, giving me plenty of time to use them, but I'm not sure why Sam's requires you to buy 2 boxes since they shipped mine separately. This is a great value, much cheaper than buying the 1 or 2 pound containers in the grocery store. I have two 2 pound Quaker Oat containers which I refill, one 5 lb bag actually fits in the 2 containers if you shake them down a little.

Not just for breakfast

I use this large size Quaker Oats, Old Fashioned type for making granola bars, cookies, candies, etc. It's not just for breakfast, which I do enjoy with fruits or brown sugar and milk. It's definitely less costly in a larger size than smaller containers, and keeps for a long time on the shelf, too.

The bottom was smashed in and I had oats everywhere on other items, which wasn't that bad but the box that items were mailed in had holes in the corners and oatmeal came out on the carpets. Lots of cleanup needed. Ruined box of oatmeal, would not use because it was broke open.

One item was ruined. All else is fine.

The bottom of one box was broken and oats spilled out inside the box on everything else. The cost is not worth the problem of returning. Your packing this time was terrible...just for your information. The other items are not ruined because of it.

Worked best for me in the microwave

I have finally decided to make oatmeal in the microwave and used a different product which came out mushy. I bought the Quaker and used it and I have to admit I didn't think making oatmeal in the microwave would work but it came out exactly how I like it.

Great product, poor packing

I read that others had issues with containers opening in the box, but thought I would give it a try because of the great price. I know Quaker packages them in cases of 6, so I thought it would be safe to order 12. I was wrong. I received a box of 7 busted containers with no packing material, and a box of 5 busted containers with no packing material. What a waste!! Thank you Walmart!!

Quaker Oats 42oz box is too flimsy

My original order of two containers got lost so Walmart re-sent the order. I eventually received 4 containers. The bottoms of 3 of the 4 containers were partially torn open. The container with the worst damage spilled about 1/2 a cup of oats into the shipping carton. The other two containers only lost a small amount of oats-less than a teaspoon full from each. I think that it's safe to eat from the damaged cartons so I am fine in keeping all four Quaker Oats containers. I think Quaker Oats needs to seal the bottoms of their containers better. The current bottom seems so flimsy. When shipping these cartons, Walmart needs to protect the bottoms of the containers better.

Old Fashioned Quaker Oats

I have not been eating oats as long as horses have but I have eating. Quaker oats as long as I can remember. Makes simple ingredients oatmeal cookies, and meat loaf filler. too. No longer a low cost poor folk food. Now a more expensive health food. So put on the feed bag healthy people.
