A LOT of Oats for your money

I've purchased the old fashioned oats a few times now and I love them. At first I was skeptical of the price for the size. Wow! You get A LOT of oats for your money! The box is quite heavy. I will definitely continue to buy them. They are high quality, great tasting and affordable.

Good product poor packing

I love the oatmeal. The reason for the 4 rating as opposed to a 5 is due to the way it was packed for shipping. It came in the same box as a large box of Finish powerballs for the dishwasher. The oatmeal container was punctured right below the lid level. The box of Finish matched in height where the damage was. There was loose oatmeal in the packing box but not too much. I ordered quite a few items which came in multiple deliveries and everything else was packaged with care. The oatmeal was the only thing that didn't quite survive the trip. The outside of the box that everything was packed in wasn't damaged at all.

New formula of Old Fashioned Oats

I too am a VERY disappointed customer in the new formula used to make the “Quaker Oats 100% Whole Grain Rolled Oats, Old Fashioned” with the “CHEFSBEST” award of Excellence proudly displayed on the container. Ive read the official marketing statement regarding this complaint from PepsiCo parent company of Quaker Oats brand that the formula has not changed however as noted by many loyal customers including myself we cannot be fooled nor should we be told something we know isn’t truthful and be expected to accept it. I for one would like an explanation from PepsiCo/Quaker Oats as to what and or when we can expect the original formula to be available to us all. Without it you will lose my business and I suspect many others as we are all educated shoppers that want more for our hard earned money and our families.

This is delicious!

I saw the label said, "100 percent whole grain" and thought it might taste different from the oatmeal I was used to as a child. Nope. This is the right stuff. I like the original the best. Five minutes isn't that long to prepare oatmeal that has a delicious flavor. I triple the recipe and store it in the fridge to eat over several days . I slice up a banana in a bowl, add some oatmeal on top, and then heat it in microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Add raisins and walnuts and milk, and you e got a heart healthy breakfast.

Weak packaging! This is a production issue and not Walmart's fault. I ordered this item for delivery. The bottom of the package was almost loose when I got it. Some of the content was out in the delivery box. Packaging should be redesigned. Note that the OAT itself is an excellent product and I've been using it for years.

Quaker oats, which I have used for many years, is a fine product. But TWICE the shipment I received had to be discarded because the cardboard oats container had been crushed so it it had opened at the bottom seam and oats were all over the box it was packed in. It needs to be packed differently. Would not order from this seller again.

Great oatmeal

I eat cold oatmeal with raisins every day. I use a nice glass, fill half way with oatmeal, a handful of raisins, pumpkin flavored (or other) Equal, add fat free milk (not quite cover the top), mix up, cover and into fridge until the morning. I love it and it's so good for you! I don't care for the consistency of hot oatmeal but love it cold. It tastes like an oatmeal raisin cookie. The price for this oatmeal is a lot less than in my local grocery store too. I'm staying home safe so having everything delivered, for free, works great for me.

Worked best for me in the microwave

I have finally decided to make oatmeal in the microwave and used a different product which came out mushy. I bought the Quaker and used it and I have to admit I didn't think making oatmeal in the microwave would work but it came out exactly how I like it.

Bakers' and digestive friend

This is a LOT of oatmeal. If you aren't going to use it up fairly quickly, to preserve its freshness, open one of the big bags and decant it into smaller containers for later use. We use empty, washed, spaghetti sauce jars and a canning-jar funnel (to assist quick, no-mess, transfer). It stays dry and away from any insect adventures that way, ready for use on our next need. Our particular use is in blended smoothies, to add fiber to our diet. But it will do all the other stuff you've loved all these years, from breakfast porridge to cookie dough.
