This brand of oats is my favorite, and I am always buying them Old Fashioned. It's high in fiber and low in sugars that is a big plus in my book. Easy to cook, I actually steep these oats much like you do with tea. Pour hot water over the oats just enough to cover, cover with a lid and leave well alone. Come back and my oats are ready to eat. Great tasting, I recommend Quaker Oats to anyone who wants to have a good hearty breakfast.

Although it took a long time to arrive due to the circumstances of the days we live in right now, it did arrive in perfect condition. I am most grateful to be able to have staple items delivered to my home because I am an elderly person and it limits time I would otherwise have to spend in a store.

Oatmeal has the flavor of childhood. It brings back so many good memories to me. I always put my. mother's fried potatoes in my oats and even fried bologna diced up. It's the best breakfast in the world with a steaming hot buttermilk biscuit loaded with fresh homemade butter on a cold morning when your fixing to catch the bus before school.

As a child I didn't much care for oatmeal, but as an adult I love this for breakfast. As an adult I can cook them the way I like with raisins and cinnamon, or chopped dried apricots with a bit of honey, a chopped apple with cinnamon and brown sugar. Oatmeal is a healthy cereal and so adaptable to individual taste. They can be salt free, low fat, no sugar, and different flavors for everyday of the week. I grown to like a well cooked oatmeal with a creamy texture. Quaker does a good oatmeal that cooks quickly to a creamy texture, and doesn't have to be soaked overnight which is something my Mom did with the oats she used.

The in-laws like this more than the quick oats. Found these fresh and as expected. Bought a few of them then sealed them in Mylar bags with O2 packets for long term storage. Great deal when it's a price per pound comparison to other store brand names.

I love the Old fashioned oatmeal. all those flavored and instant oatmeals and the kind in the individual "instant" packets just don't make it for me. Who can possibly be so busy they cant take time to make a proper bowl of oatmeal? I like different textures in the bowl, so i boil the water then toss in a handful of oats every minute or so- - that way some are soft, and some are nearly raw. Toss in a little honey and you've got grandma's oatmeal. When I would eat oatmeal in New England, the old folks would say it will "stick to your ribs". for years I had visions of oatmeal clumps hanging off my ribs like Spanish Moss. Funny how kids get strange ideas.

I recommend Quaker oatmeal, it’s great! BUT, Wal-Mart packaged my laundry detergent, two bottles of juice and other items with my Quaker oatmeal... unfortunately I had oatmeal EVERYWHERE except in the oatmeal box. This was no way to ship a food product.

I like this economy size. My chickens also like a warm bowl of cooked oats on a cold winter's morning. This product stays fresh for a good long time so I always buy several. I find the whole oats more filling than the quick oats and less soupy. I cook a bowl of oats covered with water, add brown sugar and a pat of butter and microwave for 2 minutes. It's the best fast and easy breakfast!

We love our Quaker Oats Old Fashioned. I use most every day. I make healthy treats which keep us on the straight and narrow. We enjoy oatmeal in the mornings. I add peanut butter, whey, pumpkin seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg. Mmmmmm. My husband enjoys his plain.

one of the canisters arrived with the top open and a cups worth of oats everywhere. First indication was a loose rice sound when taking the box in, the second was oats on the inner flaps when opening up the box. The box will now have to go in a ziplock bag, because it is open and if put in pantry bugs get in, if put in fridge smells and foreign tastes get in. Not a total loss, just a minor inconvenience.
