Healthy Alternative

Quaker Oats is my favorite cooked cereal. It has nice texture and taste and keep your satisfied until your next meal. Good source of fiber and option for those seeking healthy alternative. Enjoy with mashed banana to add additional sweetness. Enjoyable for every age group.

Quaker Oats' old-fashioned rolled oats taste better than the various store-brand oats available at grocery stores, including Walmart. However, you are paying a premium for the Quaker Oats brand. I used to buy Walmart brand rolled oats, but in 2025, their rolled oats began to taste stale. This includes purchases at three different Walmart stores in my area. So, I've been switching to Quaker Oats for a while. I may test Walmart rolled oats in the future to see if the taste has improved. I'd rather pay more for the quality I expect, and that's what you can expect from Quaker Oats.

Quaker Old Fashion Oatmeal

Quaker Old Fashion is the best. Don't believe it if someone say all oat meals are the same, they are not. You need a dust mask for other oatmeal, but not Quaker. Quaker makes your morning oatmeal better, your cookies, and crisp topping it is really noticeable. Little more money but money well spent and this is coming to you from a poor person.

Better for baking than Instant Oats

I use Old Fashioned Oats exclusively in making the crumble topping for fruit and berry cobbler, which I then freeze in individual portions. Old Fashioned Oatsfreezes well, combines with butter and brown sugar well and retains its texture even after microwaving and freezing.

It's Oatmeal!

It has been a lifetime since I have had any oatmeal. Wanted to change my breakfast routine a little and thought that I would give oatmeal a try once again in life. I found a really good recipe for oatmeal on the net and it is quite enjoyable. Using milk instead of water, honey instead of sugar and adding a little cinnamon. It makes quite a nice breakfast. I am glad I chose to do this.

Perfect Texture and Cooks Easily

The Quaker Old Fashioned Instant Whole Grain Oatmeal is an excellent product, overall. The oats cook easily as directed on the packaging, whether stove-top or microwave. The oats don't break down during the cooking process, consistently retain their texture, and are extremely flavorful (not to mention nutritious). After cooking I often add a small amount (teaspoon) of brown sugar, tab of butter, a few slices of banana and peanut butter, which add robust flavor. I highly recommend the Quaker Old Fashioned Instant Whole Grain Oatmeal. 5-stars.

Quarker Oats has been a stable product since I was a kid. It is full of nourishment and gives you plenty of energy until your next meal. Add some walnuts, chopped apple and milk and you have a powerhouse of nutrition that provides good protein and nutrition that cannot be beat. I recommend it.

Kudos to oatmeal !

Started eating oatmeal for breakfast for health reasons - helps lower cholesterol and other health benefits. However, it caused digestive issues. I followed directions on canister for cooking but quite by accident found if I cooked 20 minutes instead of time on canister I didn't have digestive issues. Very happy about that since I had already tried overnight soaking etc and nothing had worked. So now I cook 20 or so minutes and add blueberries, walnuts and ground flax seeds which is also heart healthy, sometime some other things plus milk and honey - really good breakfast providing energy that last all morning.

Recurring problem

Recurring issue in sands springs Oklahoma with my deliveries. Usually I don't use all of the particular item before opening a new container. But, when I'm opening the newer container the whole plastic rim comes off with the plastic ring. When this happens I pour the new product into the older container, and discard the newer container.

My secret oatmeal go to recipe, yum!

Quick hot breakfast on a very busy morning. Makes really great Oatmeal Rasin Cookies too! My secret morning trick: Adding one envelope of instant fruit flavored oatmeal to the original while it is cooking makes it seem like desert for breakfast and keeps the sugar under control--very satisfying.
