Quick hot breakfast on a very busy morning. Makes really great Oatmeal Rasin Cookies too! My secret morning trick: Adding one envelope of instant fruit flavored oatmeal to the original while it is cooking makes it seem like desert for breakfast and keeps the sugar under control--very satisfying.

Quaker Oats' old-fashioned rolled oats taste better than the various store-brand oats available at grocery stores, including Walmart. However, you are paying a premium for the Quaker Oats brand. I used to buy Walmart brand rolled oats, but in 2025, their rolled oats began to taste stale. This includes purchases at three different Walmart stores in my area. So, I've been switching to Quaker Oats for a while. I may test Walmart rolled oats in the future to see if the taste has improved. I'd rather pay more for the quality I expect, and that's what you can expect from Quaker Oats.

Quaker Old Fashion is the best. Don't believe it if someone say all oat meals are the same, they are not. You need a dust mask for other oatmeal, but not Quaker. Quaker makes your morning oatmeal better, your cookies, and crisp topping it is really noticeable. Little more money but money well spent and this is coming to you from a poor person.

It has been a lifetime since I have had any oatmeal. Wanted to change my breakfast routine a little and thought that I would give oatmeal a try once again in life. I found a really good recipe for oatmeal on the net and it is quite enjoyable. Using milk instead of water, honey instead of sugar and adding a little cinnamon. It makes quite a nice breakfast. I am glad I chose to do this.
