My favorite brand of oatmeal! Not only is it known for quality and taste, but the price is reasonable, too!! This is a staple food in my pantry! Not only is it good for breakfast, but for baking up some, delicious, cookies, AND putting it in smoothies!! Such a versatile food product!!

Chocolate please!!!

I just had a bowl of your Oatmeal squares for mid day snack. I liked the cereal because it holds its form and doesn't turn mushy. I couldn't help think, that it would be even better if you put a small amount of chocolate inside the square. There would be a hint of sweetness... but not too much. .

When it comes to

When it comes to oatmeal I just like plain oatmeal. Quaker is my favorite. They hold their shape. They are very affordable. I live the cardboard container. I can reuse them or I can us either for starting my outdoor fire pit. Buy these you will not be sorry.

I am hooked on oatmeal!

Quaker oates is a staple in my diet. As an avid tennis player, my diet is crucial. Oatmeal is the perfect breakfast (and lunch) providing me with satisfaction from feeling full, enjoying a warm tasty food, and keeping me feeling content until my next meal. I also enjoy sharing oatmeal with my 98 year old Mother-In-Law when we add different things to mix in and top it off!

baked oatmeal

I made your recipe for baked oatmeal. It was simple (I cut the recipe in half). I wasn't sure how it would come out but it is fabulous!! Made in an 8 X 8 inch pan, I cut it into sections and put in sandwich bags and froze them for my quick delicious breakfast. It tastes soooo good! I will make it again soon, this time using artificial sugar to cut down on the sugar calories and add one finely chopped and peeled apple. You can even eat it cold, but I like it warmed slightly in the microwave with my morning coffee. Thanks Quaker Oats.

The only "healthy" product Quaker makes is gross.

This is the only product Quaker can legally say is "good for you", all of their other products are full of sucralose, maltodextrin and msg. But this product is full of GMOs and utilizes more oat flour than it does actual oats. This is what happens when a "heritage" brand is owned by Pepsi Co. Larry The Quaker Man is a poison-peddling fascist!

Loving chocolate overnight oats!

I've been making dark chocolate overnight oats - so yummy and filling! It is a great start to my morning and keeps me from feeling hungry for hours. I combine 1/2 cup of Old Fashioned Oats, 2 TB dark chocolate cocoa powder, 1 TB chia seeds, 1-2 tsp Splenda, 1/2 cup unsweetened cashew milk, and 1/2 cup fat free Greek yogurt. Let it sit in your refrigerator over night and enjoy in the morning. It satisfies my chocolate craving and gives me the oatmeal goodness that I love. I also love oatmeal cookies made with Old Fashioned Oats.

What has happened to Quaker Old Fashioned Oatmeal?

I have been enjoying Quaker Oats since I was a toddler, which is well over 50 years now. It has always been a consistent reliability that it would be a quality product which I thoroughly enjoyed for breakfast and for baking. That is, until the last two containers I have bought. The first one I thought may have been a fluke, so I gave Quaker another chance. Nope, same thing...two new 'additions' to the regular, recognizable whole grain oats: flat pieces that look like blownout oats or some sort of chafe and - the totally unacceptable part - little rock-hard tan 'pellets' which do not soften no matter how long cooked and are impossible to chew. I have gotten to the point where I go through the dry oatmeal and pick out the offenders before I add the water. Hard to believe, but I get at least a well-rounded teaspoon out of every half cup. I would NEVER use this product in baking again. I could just throw the container away, but I bought the large size, so that just felt too wasteful. All I know is, after this container is gone, I will be looking for another brand, unless I hear directly from Quaker that they've gone back to the tried and true Quaker Old-Fashioned Oats. I have just read the other reviews and see many are expressing the same complaint, so I know it's not just me - something has most definitely changed in your O.F. Oats.

Packaging

Just bought another 10 oz net weight package. Was 2/3 full and measured at 3 cups. Is this the correct packing? If so, why waste all the space ... got to cost more to QO & consumer in handling and shipping for packing in such a manner? How many cups should it include?
